Well he's good friends with Tulanes head coach and a bunch of others (Loyola, former UNO coach) and lives nearby. Probably didn't want to travel back and forth so much

Good for Coach Brady. He did a great job on the radio. Will miss his commentary for sure.

Mike Giorlando is the AD at UNO now and they go way back to being assistants under Tim Floyd. Brady hired him as an assistant at LSU.

Brady was known as a hot head, and it's probably well deserved, but I use to call him in his office once every off season from up here in VB, VA.
We'd speak for about 10 minutes each time. I'd let him know about a player or two I'd heard of up here for him to check out, ask him about recruiting and the upcoming season, etc..
I always tried to get him to come play at ODU up here in Norfolk, but he'd laugh it off and say that was a no win scenario for LSU.
He didn't have to take my call, but I think he enjoyed our conversations, and I'd get him laughing a little bit.
He certainly didn't have to speak to a nobody like me, but he always did.

Good for him and good luck to him. I will miss him on the radio though. He was the best color guy we ever had on our basketball broadcasts.

I loved him as a coach here. Loved him even more on the radio. Good for him. Do what makes him happy.

Good for John Brady. I thought him & Blair were a great duo for basketball
