Only thing MM is fired up about is his going away present from Woody in 11 months. Must be nice knowing in 11 more months you’re getting paid more money than ever before to go away. Talk about pressure!!!!

If we could remove the "up," all would be better.

The fact that there are "fans" on here who think having Reed only wins 1-2 more game shows just how irrational and emotional most of you are. Everyone knows the season was over when he went down and Ward left the team., at least those that know anything about basketball and this returning team.It was obvious LSU didn't have the talent of other teams especially when depending on 4 freshmen, a sophmore and a jr who had played the minutes of a freshman. You can blame MM for that but quit pretending it was just coaching that lost those games. I doubt any of you have gone through the 8 man rotation of every SEC team and see what they had. Even vanderbilt had mostly all Sr, Jr and Grads as did most SEC teams this year.. I could care less if they had fired MM at the end of the season but if they are going to keep him then they need to back it up financially and talent goes a long way to overcome any coaching weaknesses which even Wade had. But he recruited NBA talent that could take their man off the dribble one on one when the offense broke down, which happened a lot. It's why they called it street ball but it worked. MM had the youngest and possibly least talented team in the SEC. Yet he beat a sweet 16 team, lost by 2 to another and 12 at their house. Lost by 12 and 14 to the two number 1 seeds when they were single digit games late. But Reed would make no difference.LOL. I was a Wade fan but I'm an LSU fan first. If you pull for the tigers only when they are good then you are a band wagon fan. Even Wade admitted he f**ked up and was fired WITH REASON so your God has spoken. Either MM gets it done in the portal this time or he's gone. Nobody is demanding he not get fired we are just tired of the whining band wagon vaginas who have been doing this since Season 1. If he gets the NIL money that he can compete with and he still loses like this then I'll be right there demanding a change. It's the difference between a Mark Sears and a Jordan Sears. Until then try being an "LSU fan" for a change.

So I think we'd beat Ole Miss because an assterclass of that magnitude is almost impossible anyway so adding a player has have some positive payoff.

Only losing by 12 or 14 isn't exactly something to write home about.

Also we loss to a mid Pitt team and had to go into 100 OTs with a mid UCF.

Look man, if you think the 8 man rotation was a Jalen Reed away from the NCAA tournament I don't see how you can say its the least talented team in the SEC.
Despite losing Reed, despite kicking Ward off the team. All LSU had to do was rebound against Vandy and not blow a 10 point lead in 2 minutes and they are probably on the bubble. Preferably not get absolutely shite canned by Texas too.

$8 million (...according to "sources"). Quite a jump. LSU has 3 HS signees, 4 rising sophomores (at the moment), and an All-SEC junior set to return.
I’m wondering how team chemistry will be affected by incoming transfers getting big bucks, especially if they are more mid majors. That’ll be a balancing act in itself. He already seemed to be losing control of the locker room at the end of the season. Don’t be surprised if he loses more if that happens.

Scott absolutely looks like a clown over the NIL stuff. His apologist will give him every excuse for it

The same 4 portal players that he is interested in is also on the TOP teams in the Nations “most wanted list”.. it’s going to take alot more than $8 mil to bring them here and play for this Jack leg basketball coach…NO ONE likes losing or getting embarrassed …LSU is not currently at the top
Of the heap of most wanted college basketball teams…he must believe in himself bigly becuz he seems to have set the bar way too high to impress anyone but himself…

When 6 wins would have gotten you in then yes they were Reed and Ward away from doing that. You are talking about Chest and Collins playing their first SEC games with little or no experience so Reed definitely makes a difference against Vandy's big who pretty much backed Collins and Chest skinny arse back into the goal and would hit a 2 - 4 foot shot. Same with FL 7 footer who was the difference in the 2nd half of that game. many other examples where Reed makes a difference especially on defense. No he's not Broome but on this team he was that important. Not saying Mcmahon didn't make some mistakes also but go back and look at the starting rotation of every SEC team and compare to LSU. Just worked out that way this year with all the freshmen and Collins who hadn't played much . Now I do hold MM responsible for the lousy PGs we've had. That is the one thing that if he doesn't fix this year he will definitely be gone. An SEC caliber PG could have helped this team tremendously. He hasn't had one since he got here .Is it because he couldn't pay the good ones. I don't know but I do know there are no excuses this year. He is supposedly getting the finances to compete. We'll see.

Sorry Drizz. I should remember you're used to picture books with small word and big print. I'll try to keep it on a kindergarten level next time.

Idiots that write in walls of text shouldn’t be talking about grade levels.

This is not true. Our SOS out of conference sucked arse and we lost to two ACC teams that didn’t even make the NCAAT. One of those games we even had our lord and savior Jalen Reed who is apparently the greatest basketball player in LSU history. Not to mention, Alabama has played the majority of this season without Latrell Wrightsell (starter) and Houston Mallette (top transfer). They have made no excuses.

I have nothing but positive hopes for Jalen’s recovery, but unlike you, I don’t think he’s the hybrid Jordan/LeBron player you’ve been blabbering on about for months.
And no matter how many times people let you know you’re overstating his value, you repeat the same shite. It’s pointless.
You not wanting to actually be open to modifying your position or open to using proper formatting for others viewing, is really a you problem.

The more they try and spin this to gain support for him the more I want him gone.
