A group of white progressives gave a racist black man an award. I, for one, am totally surprised this happened.

Ryan is no more racist than you are, he just has a bigger platform than you. To call someone something is a reflection of yourself cloaked behind the wall of your fake self of what you hide behind. It's ok to feel a way about the rapidity of "progress" to be a progressive white means you believe in progress(change), so there shouldn't be any surprise right? Right!

It really is interesting how many LSU players have gone into broadcasting and done fairly well, locally and nationally. I would push that with my program. Invest heavily in broadcast journalism and tell players that you want to prepare them for the NFL and a television career afterward.

As if ESPN hasn't emphatically let people go who even come remotely close to saying/being/doing anything offensive to either side of the proverbial aisle. Point is, the RC hate is misguided. He doesn't spout off racist things all the time like this board says he does. You guys bring up what he said about Kelly....while dismissing what the team said while under O. You guys bring up what was said about Kelly, without seeing that he absolutely understood the landscape and his hires were totally different than O (less older white males, and more younger black males).

I dont think many people deny that there are some racial inequities in this country but youre missing the point. My opinion of Ryan Clark stems from commentary here. It's probably just the times that I watch TV but I don't ever see him.
