So had to spend last Thur & Fri at the Biloxi IP Casino for a CE event. Got to meet a couple of dozen Tiger fans in the Sports Book, all wearing the purple & gold. LA gotta wake up. Leaving a lot of $ on the table.

Sorry if you think it is the wrong board :-)

That’d require our politicians not being controlled by the states leading video poker machine owner. I wish that was a joke but it’s pathetic when MS laps you.

Estimated 200 million yearly in state revenue btw.

Sports betting would explode in LA. Unfortunately, I think most of the politicians are afraid that it would threaten their other, under the table ventures. The politicians are going to need some time to figure out how they're going to get their hands on a piece of the pie before it passes.

Easier til you try to collect your winnings. At least that was my experience.

No excuse that Mississippi & New Jersey figures out how to make it happen within a couple of months. Louisiana is just a complete garbage state when it comes to government. Will still be sitting around with cock in hand over a year from now leaving all that money pouring into Mississippi & online (which sucks & is a complete ripoff).

We have lottery, cards, dice, slots, horses, etc. that we can legally bet on. What the hell difference will it make to let us bet on some sports too? I can’t even fathom a legitimate reason a politician would be against it.

The State will get its taste from casino sports bets, which a bookie or offshore does not share.
