Tiger fans don't give up on Nussmier, history could repeat

On September 30, 2006 LSU and Mississippi State played an 11 A M game under a scorching sun, Jamarcus Russel was unstoppable as he led the Tigers to a 21-0 first quarter lead on the way to a 35-3 halftime advantage . Midway in the third quarter Les Miles inserted his young inexperienced backup QB who immediately threw a pass over the middle into double coverage resulting in an easy pick six. This young QB was quickly yanked and Jamarcus carved up the State defense the rest of the way as the Tigers won big.
The young backup was crushed as he had blown his opportunity to show his coaches what he could do if given a chance. Instead of giving up the young QB continued to work and develop his skills. He didn't play a lot the rest of the year as Russel led the Tigers to a great finish and became the number one pick in the draft.
The young backup grabbed the opportunity to take over the starting role the next season and led the Tigers to the national championship. That frustrated backup in 2006 was 2007 national champion QB Matt Flynn.

Anyone who gives up on Nuss is a buffoon. The dude has played in 2 college football games. He needs to get his feet wet and be able to correct mistakes on film.

I don’t think anyone is giving up on Nuss. It’s obvious that Daniels is the better guy right now for this team but that doesn’t mean Nuss won’t be a really good QB in the future.

Matt Flynn then rode the bench at Green Bay behind Aaron Rodgers, had one of the greatest Playoff Games of all time, got paid bank, and rode the bench behind Russell Wilson.
There's a good chance Nuss will follow in his footsteps... behind Daniels for this season.

Matt Flynn never thru the ball away while being tackled on the side line to the other team for a pick six while being ahead by more than thirty points. Worst play I have ever seen by a quarterback. Nuss will never see legitimate playing time because of that.
