I didn't realize baseball couldn't fit in the dome anymore. My uncle use to tell me stories about playing baseball in the dome how cool it was.

I remember going to watch LSU play Tulane in the dome as a kid. Pretty cool memory IMO

It would be interesting to see distances to the SEC schools from these stadiums being mentioned.

Re: Memphis or Nashville

From Baton Rouge, Memphis is a relatively easy trip to drive.

Nashville has an advantage if you were going to fly there. 120 bucks on SW from N.O. to Nashville.

I don't think the legislature has money to bid for much of anything right now.

From a friend who used to work in ops for the Z's, she said that there would have to be alot of money dumped into park. It's not equipped to host a tournament of that size from a logistical standpoint.

I go every year. PLEASE rotate the thing out of Hoover. Memphis would be my first choice.

The SEC seems to favor locating events in the Eastern half of the geographical area of the SEC. Let's move some events westward toward or even across the Mississippi River.

I highly doubt the SEC will allow it to be played at a team's home park.

Its been done before at the old Box.

There are plenty of places (all AA or higher) that can hold the tournament in the south east and have a "host" team.

CPM has been quoted every year that this comes up as saying the league coaches all love Hoover & it will never be moved if it's left up to them. FWIW. I know for him/LSU, he looks at is getting the team used to playing in an Omaha type stadium.

I like it in Hoover
Id be ok with it elsewhere
But hosting it in Kenner would definitely be a downgrade

Louisiana State Legislature making moves to potentially bid to relocate SEC Baseball Tournament to Louisiana...

I have actually attended pro baseball in the Superdome FWIW. That would guarantee schedule and max seating but it kinda sux because of the all the black and gold in there makes it seem like a night game all the time.

Don't be surprised if that is what they are pushing.
