Playing games like tonight just don't seem to have much value added.

As a different approach to midweek games, would suggest playing the I-10 corridor schools from Houston to Mobile (UH, Rice, Lamar, McNeese, USL, UNO, Tulane, and S. Alabama). Could have our own informal sub-conference.

We already play several of these as midweek games so nothing too major in the way of changes. Would afford some better competition,

Being able to impose your will on your opponent and try new things, let freshmen gain confidence, etc. is a huge value to the team. Maybe not as a fan, but that’s not why they schedule very weak midweek games

Travel is a big deal for most teams during these games as well. Would you want us traveling today before a conference series?

In state schools need that money more than out of state non conf teams and it’s an easier trip for most with weather a factor
The rpi is fine with sec schedule and teams like Iowa Sam houston Kansas st Texas central conn st and Lamar are all winning games right now

The only two on that list that we don't work into the schedule regularly are UH and Rice. But I think we should do something similar to what you're suggesting.

I don't think we should play every in state team every single year. We should be rotating most of them. Southern, ULL, Tulane, and SELU should be every year, with one of them being away each year.

Tech, NWST, McNeese, UNO, Nicholls should be on like 3 on 1 off rotation with each one getting a road game every so often.

ULM and Grambling could rotate each year with no road game.

Lamar, South Al, Houston, Rice, USM, Troy, Sam Houston, Corpus Christi could all be on a regular rotation for mid weeks.

We typically have like 14 midweek games.

Depending on how the schedule sets up, traveling to play Houston or Rice before an away series at A&M wouldn't be bad. Or in the future if playing at Oklahoma, getting a mid week at Oklahoma State would be pretty great. Playing Texas State before a weekend at Texas, etc.

We're playing at Rice before the Shriners Classic next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jay get a midweek against someone like TCU the year we go to Frisco.

That’s an ~8 hour bus ride.

I like us playing the other state schools. I think it helps them and it gives our state high school athletes who play at those schools a chance to play in the Box.

Scratch them off the list.

There are a million schools in Texas though, I'm guessing I missed a bunch that would be reasonable driving distance for a mid-week game.

The greenie's greed killed the Winn Dixie challenge. Although the LSU fan base was more than the other two La.s teams combined, and game revenues were split per the number of fans each school in attendance, the weenies A.D. tied to pressure Skip into making it an even split across the board. i.e. giving the weenies more money than their fan base was entitled to under the agreement. Skip told her he could make more money with a 3 game series at The Box & told her to frick off. That was the last year of the challenge. As an aside, she was subsequently fired for playing hide the rubber pickle with a female basketball player.

Yall really gotta quit with this shite

NC RPI- #2
NC SOS- #61

We play in by far the toughest conference in the country. Every game doesnt need to be against the hardest competition.

What happened to Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss? Replaced by Grambling and so forth.

Is there any logic to this or are you just picking schools at random?

You're full of shite as usual paul. We didn't replace Southern Miss with Grambling in the midweek because we didn't play Southern Miss in the midweek. And we didn't replace Louisiana Tech with Grambling because we've played Grambling nearly every year since 2009.

Do you ever not suck?
