My Dad is 5" tall & chooses to sit in the lower west gold section. He has been a season ticket holder for over 50 years. He will DAMN WELL stand if he wants to, & he does. Never sits while the ball is in play.

i would rather stand, but there are older folks behind us,so we show them respect and stand at exciting times of the game.

i'm pretty limited on the amount of games i get to attend so when i get to go, i'm usually into the game and standing. of course i'm not gonna be the only idiot in my section on my feet, but if its an exciting game i'm up.

One thing Tiger Stadium is not is a f'n daycare or an old folks home.
I respect people who bring kids to the game and I truly respect older people who have been LSU fans for life, BUT this is tiger stadium and part of the atmosphere is to make it the most intimidating venue in college football.
Sitting down the entire game and being quiet is not part of what tiger stadium is. Those who do not like loud noises or cursing (I don't agree with it but when you mix alcohol and adrenaline it happens) because of kids or those who can't or won't stand just stay home and watch it on TV.
I'm sure i offended some but it's just my opinion.

Bottom line- you cannot be as loud when you are stting, as when you're standing. And some people, who encourage sitting over standing, ESPECIALLY to the point to where they have it legislated into the rules, are simply not equal Tiger fans as those who stand and should not be at the games, period. They have destroyed Tiger Stadium and its atmosphere. Hope you're proud of yourselves, you whining bitches.

Older fans dont stand the entire game. I guess it depends on what section you're in, I suppose.
Even in the student section they have a "sitting section", which is kinda gay to me.

I love standing in front of fat women just to make their life more miserable.

I have 2 tickets North Endzone front row. I normally lean on the cement in front of me and yell my head off. Our section has a pretty good group, very active and loud and hardly anyone complains about standing. The only time I have had any problems is when someone gives their tickets to someone not familiar with the inside of Death Valley. I usually tell them didn't the people who gave you the tickets explain the atmosphere you were walking into.

I'm starting to see a pattern here. Somebody is hatin' on the fatties.

I stand, I will never forget UT/LSU on Monday night I went and sat with a friend and we were standing in 4th quarter and group behind asked us to sit.
Well we did not listen so they went and got security who then asked us to sit or leave that people were complaining.
We had to sit only standing up cheering, once we started sitting LSU lost control of game and lead and we swear those people jinxed us.

It would be easy to come to the conclusion that you have an attitude problem. It would be a hell of a world if we all operated as you suggest.

Dude,
We're LSU. This sit-stand so-called controversy shouldn't even be taking place. It's a fact: You can't yell as loud sitting on your butt. If we want to show our team we're behind them, we don't have a choice - WE STAND!

This is a question on how you feel about those fans that stand at games. How do you feel about the standers? Should they sit and be quite when the team is on offense and only cheer sitting down when on defense? Would it be a better atmosphere if they were moved to the top row so they dont get in front of others who attend the game that want to remain seated?
Your comments would be appreciated.
Halftime is for sitting.

Can you imagine how boring Tiger Stadium would be if everyone just sat down? You people who think we should sit during games SUCK!!!
I think many of you are missing the point.
Im 32 and IMO there is an approaportate time to stand up and and sitdown.. for me its about 50/50.... furthermore why the hell would you want to standup for 4 hrs in a row anways?
FWIW, I know some of you are thinking it, however it donesnt make you a better or more hardcore fan if you like stand your arse up the entire game.

Stand the entire game except half time and timeouts. I even did this in High School. It's football, not croquet. If you aren't physically capable of standing for a couple of hours it might be a bad idea for you to go to football games.

I like to see EVERYONE stand, stomp and yell until the earth shakes. It's what makes Tiger Stadium the special place that it is. If you want to sit, watch the game from your recliner.
I'm in my mid 40s and can still stand and yell as long as necessary. When I can't do it anymore I'll either get a handicap seat or stay at home. If the people in front of me sit, I'll sit. I refuse to ask them to sit because they paid just like I did.

The rule should be you can stand in front of your seat, but not on it (not to be enforced in the student section, of course). It's ridiculous that different people in the stadium are told to sit and stand at different times, depending if some a-hole behind them complains to the marshall. Again, to all the sitters who complain, I hope you realize that it's people like YOU who are the reason that Tiger Stadium's mystique is now FINISHED.
