Add in crews on offense and that’s 5 ballers and the pitching we lost was not just Skenes. Cooper and Floyd + Skenes hurt. That’s 8 guys that got you to Omaha, and they are sorely missed but worrying about them won’t fix this year.

Beloso “came on late” but still hit over .300 with 16 homeruns.
Jobert may have been “streaky” but he hit .301 with 14 homeruns and 50 rbis. That would be a superstar on this team.

How did Dugas , and the whole rest of the team, really, manage to get beaned so frequently last year, but this year, almost never?

So you bring up a random stat that you know nothing about. In 2024 we’ve been hit by 59 pitches in 31 games. Tied for 18th in the country.

Specifically Dugas and Beloso. Hard to say because we are not in the locker room but I really thought Travinski and Milazzo were going to be those guys this year and at least on the outside looking in it sure seems like that is missing with this team.

I've been thinking this for the last several weeks. If this team is going to have a shred of hope moving forward, then it's the Louisiana boys that need to step up and take charge of the locker room. The guys who grew up dreaming of playing for the purple and gold. Nothing against the out-of-state kids, because we need them all too. But it should mean a little more, at least from a pride standpoint, to the guys who grew up in LSU's backyard.
