Like the Tigers being under the radar - gonna make heads turns in Houston. Feeling more confident about that game by the day.

It does have a special feel, but I think that every year. The schedule calms me down.

There is a pretty wide range of things that can happen between losing 4 games and winning the national title. We'll almost certainly be within that range, too. You can pretty much set your watch to LSU winning at least 10 games under Miles. Throw in a down SEC, and I think 10 wins is the reasonable baseline for success.

I think it's more that we have this phenomenal Frosh Class at Skill Positions and we don't know at all what to expect. Plus we are now at a point with Social Media reporting that people are doing everything but measuring the size of the turds of our football players... Oh wait... This just in on L.F. ------

The 2 primary DT's from that game no longer on the team. And last I checked, Iowa isn't on the schedule this year.

Ego was suspended for that game.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking after 3 practices and watching about 9 minutes of video clips of drills.

I guess it's time for the annual rantard parade of ridiculous and baseless hype.

This team feels like the 2010 team to me, but plays a tougher schedule. That team went 11-2 but nearly (and arguably should have) lost to a bad Tennessee team at home and UNC to start the season.

I think Miss State and Ole Miss are fielding the most experienced and best teams they have had in years. Florida is always dangerous in the Swamp. Auburn is not going to be as lucky of a team as they were in 2013 but will be a force. And Bama is going to be stout. Tiger fans are not giving Wisky enough respect. That is a solid football team coming to play us in Houston. I'm not saying we will lose to all of these teams but it's a tad homerish to think we will beat all 6 of them.

I wish Tiger fans were realistic. We have lots of young talent. It's very exciting. But we have lots of inexperience and that will cost us a few games given our schedule. I'm expecting us to go around 9-3 but be a team at the end of the year that no one wants to play. We will thrash our bowl opponent and go into 2015 as a top 5 team. After all we seem to be on a 4 year cycle (2003, 2007, 2011...)

You have to have some intuition to get it. It takes a special kind of football knowledge to understand. The vast majority don't have that ability.

UNC? You mean the team LSU dominated in the first half and took the foot off the gas in the second half? Nah, bruh.

Do experienced teams let an opponent back in the game to the point that we would have lost if their tight end held onto a pass that hit him in the numbers in the end zone?

2010 LSU was WAY more talented than Tennessee or UNC but stupid mistakes and inconsistency nearly cost both games.

But remember how they ended the season (yes, I'm ignoring the abortion that was the Arkansas game!). They ripped a pretty decent Aggie team in Jerry World and it set the tone for the title run in 2011.

Seriously, How the hell do you know what kind of vibe the team has? They haven't even played a freaking game yet! Some of you people really are out there. Reminds me of Bama fans.

I understand the vibe he's talking about. I don't see championship, but I do see 10-2 and with a little luck, 11-1. I'm not in at all with the narrative of 8-4 4-4 like the media, or the 9-3 like most fans believe.

I felt like this in the offseason. Outside of the QBs and experience of Randle/Shepard, and Claiborne, our team is pretty similar to that preseason 2011 team.

Could Jamal Adams be the nickleback like Mathieu used to play? Seems like he's a natural like tyrann.

This is the most talented freshman class miles has ever had in his 10 years. There will be several huge contributors from the 2014 freshman class IMO.

i agree with this one.2008 led off with off the field issues at quarterback with no talent to back up.these guys have a WANT to get it done and les miles has cam and chief.it just feels good.miles and company believe they can get it done in every game.

IMO, this years squad is one breakout DT away from having one of the top two or three teams most dominant on both lines of scrimmage. The skill positions are plenty talented enough. This team can surely strike while that LOS iron is hot...

I would like to know who you think that is on this team that underperformed last year?

This team has a great o-line, will be much improved on defense with two lockdown corners. They have the potential to be great. Did mention fricking Cam Cameron?

This team will not lose more than two games and I will be surprised if they do that.
