Typical LSU fans. A guy lists several reasons to be optimistic about our QB and the bulk of replies are negative or skeptical.
I am glad that you don't have your hopes up and just "expect [LSU] to compete for a National Championship"! ??

I would hate to see your expectations if you bought into the offseason hype!
All you guys saying you aren't getting your hopes up are like that girl at the bar complaining about her boyfriend. She talks a good game about being strong and not putting up with his crap, and y'all sound convincing (and miserable) about not buying the hype. But just as sure as she will run to the guy after the booty call text later that night, you all have bought into the hype and will be there come Labor Day weekend EXPECTING to go to the playoffs. Just accept it, embrace it and enjoy it!

These posts make no sense. It's the offseason. There are not games to be played v SEC teams for several months. Why the vitriol for fact reporting on what the Tigers are emphasizing in Spring practice? I like what I am hearing; I would think fans clamoring for more balance would agree. And yet you are here running down the coaches and QB who you think in a very self-entitled way have to "prove it" to you. No they don't. They have to work on it, which is what they are doing.

I find it almost comical (but really it is sad) that we have a returning starter at QB with a big arm and athleticism, we have a solid line returning, we have (at least) three future NFL WRs and the best running back in a generation and, rather than being genuinely excited about how good this offense could be, the cool thing to do is be negative.
I, for one, believe we are going to see the best, most balanced offense in Les' tenure. I think it will be better than 06, 07 and 13. We have a once in a generation RB and a budding star backing him up. Our top three WRs are all first or second day draft picks. We have a solid offensive line. We have a strong armed, athletic QB who was coming into his own prior to suffering a sports hernia v Bama and who is going to turn heads. Our offensive coaches are top notch.

There is a lot to be excited about.
What does being homeless have to do with a bad event?
Telling him what a jerk he is is sure to help recruit him, no?

My post was sarcastic. But yes, we do get something if we finish 1st. We get free publicity on air. Recruiting is about momentum and we would have it.

[of course, these only help on the margin]

Oh c'mon guys. It was sarcasm.

[However it would be nice to win the recruiting national championship (and be highly ranked in the preseason). Anyone saying they don't want to be #1 on both list is not a real Tiger fan. it is okay to admit that you want your team to "win"]

Just our luck. He will wait, we finish #2 to Bama. Then he signs with us a few days later and we overtake Bama but recruiting is over and no one cares anymore.

Charlie Strong is setting up his War Room in the Manor HS cafeteria.
According to Rivals, Giles is the top in-state DT. When did this happen?
Brick is going in dry. That will teach Miles to demote Brick to intern.
I think his point is to not be a desperate, creepy jock sniffer that tweets high school boys
They are people who think their 140 character arse kiss will sway a total stranger to their school.
I bet every recruit is amazed at how many people unfollow them once they sign. Regardless of who he picks, Giles will lose half of his Twitter followers by 11 tonight.
He's an 18 year old kid that gets to go on local TV and be a celebrity for a day. He's not thinking about the fact that the majority of viewers will yell TigerBait at the screen (assuming he picks UT). He just is enjoying the spotlight. So I wouldn't read anything into the fact that he is doing this on live NOLA TV.

Texas mods seem awfully confident.
Does this mean we aren't getting Martin?
He reminds me of Speedy, Willis, Janzen...

Some times a team is better without a talented but cancerous player.
Anyone who cares about maintaining the ban on another poster is pretty pathetic. You realize he can set up a new email on gmail and be back on TD tomorrow with a new alias, right? If anything, it's entertaining. Which last I checked, was one of the points of this site
