This Ole Miss defense is elite

At missed tackles and busted coverages. 35 missed tackles through 2 games, numerous busted coverages, sloppy and soft. I thought drunk Pete was a defensive guru. Kiffin and Weis will exploit and abuse Ole Miss's hot mess of a defense:
Total Defense- worst in SEC
Passing Defense- 2nd worst in SEC
Rushing Defense- 2nd worst in SEC
Scoring Defense- 3rd worst in SEC
Missed Tackle Rate- worst in SEC
Team Passing Efficiency Defense- worst in SEC

The OM defense reminds me of the LSU defense the year before Baker came back: lots of missed assignments due to lack of communication.

Echoles and Franklin are gonna wreck our Oline. LSU’s guards and RT are weak sauce.

Ole Miss could be in for a 2023 LSU defense/2025 offense situation. Every game that passes you keep coming up with an excuse on why it gets better next game or why it can’t actually be THAT bad. Speaking from experience, ya might actually be THAT bad!

In my 40+ years of watching this sport, anytime we have pointed something like this out from the opposition, we have come in and struggled on offense.
I will never forget 2013 when OM had like six starters hurt, their defense sucked, etc, then one of our best offenses went to Oxford and turned the ball over like five times and lost to a terrible OM team.

I know people are shitting on this take but I watched Film Room Guy or whatever it’s called and he pointed out the same thing.
All you have to do is look at tape to see both our guards are not playing great. shite, Weston doesn’t look so hot either, but for whatever reason it hasn’t slowed us down yet.

If history is any guide, this will be a close game. How many times have we seen fans predicting a blowout by LSU against a SEC opponent, only to see a tight game, a scraped out win or even an upset? I hope the game isn’t close and LSU puts Ole Miss away with a big margin. I’m not expecting that because Ole Miss will be fired up and very dangerous.

Still think this game is gonna be a battle. I think Ole Miss probably plays their best game this weekend. If they lose I can see the season unraveling fast.

With the ball on their 5 yard line and up 60 late in the 4th quarter, I want us to score a TD and go for two. They hate us anyway. Can you imagine the crybabies after that happens?
