Dude. We have a bunch of freshmen playing a mature well coached NCAA tourney team. They will struggle against teams like this early but their talent and Defense allow them to win these games and better prepare them for good teams with talent. They will make freshmen mistakes early but if this team gets all cylinders running at same time they will be able to compete with anyone with that type of defensive effort.

I’ll gladly show up at the end of the season to say I was wrong if this teams goes as far as some of you claim they will.
Either way this squad makes it to the group of 32. At BEST - they could get to sweet 16. That’s the ceiling.

Are we a final four team you ask?… No probably not, but we are a damn good team and depending how we develop through the year, the sky is the limit and that’s all you can ask for in college basketball. Enjoy the ride and watch this team be a top 3 SEC team.

I like the defense that Gaines, Reid and Wilkinson can provide. Love that we have some rim protection again. Hated seeing him sit down early in the first half.
I want to see Gaines slow down some. He’s fast - almost too fast for his own good.
I did enjoy seeing Pinson show some senior leadership and take over a bit more in the second half. His ability to get in the lane helped create some offense that was lacking in the first half. That was nice.
Outside of Days - I’m just worried we don’t have a guy that we know will step up when we need them to. Realistically - we won’t see Days putting up over 20 points a game in SEC play.
Sure I get Liberty is a well coached team. Just worries me when we face these well coached athletic teams.
