Interesting read while we are in the dead period of sports. And as much as I wanna agree and be hyped for championship(s) as you are, I have one word for you even though this is the worst word in the English language- Alabama. I mean as talented as we are what do you think they are saying about their chances/sqaud? I HATE to say it and spurrier said it best the other day at media days. I forget the actual quote so if you don't know look it up....
But on the other hand lsu has weathered some pretty serious storms in the past and always came out,for the most part, pretty damn well such as:
Tebow
Cam
Eli
McFadden
Manziel
Saban
And not to mention we seem to catch every east team at the hight of their programs history- uk. Uga. Sc.
Time will tell I reckon

This then caused me (forgive me, I was a 18 year old kid) to begrudgingly route against the Tigers. Simply because I wanted fans to not be so "arrogant" about the Tigers, and "distasteful" when talking about the Saints.

Isn't this year the best case scenario for Fournette's first year? A largely veteran offensive line inspired by a new O-line coach. Hopefully we can control the offensive line and generally run - opening up passing lanes. It's easy to be optimistic.

Though I had to do some digging to find this, here is a post I made to Saints report, in August of 2009.

I'm not one to say I called it.......

I have the same feeling about these Tigers.

P.S.
As far as the Saints go, Cooks is going to be unreal. Ingram should finally get his chance to show his value (instead of being the short yardage, "everybody knows you are about to get the ball back").

Saturdays and Sundays should feel like holidays this year. I expect us (the Saints and Tigers) to destroy people. Literally blow people out. I especially love it because no one has picked either team to go the distance. They know we will be competitive (as always), but everyone is FSU and Bama crazy, as well as Seahawk and 49er crazy (deservingly so, as they are all great teams).

However, I strongly believe that this could be the year that we take home both titles, College and Pro.

Shake the laughter and ridicule. I said something very similar to my gf the other day. Like a 'holy shite with our schedule, some luck, and boatload of incoming talent, don't be surprised to see us in the secw hunt and legit shot'

I couldn't agree more. This is why that Wisconsin game has me so psyched up and nervous at the same time. It's a huge stage, and to expect all of those true freshman to be ready Game 1 is a bit much.
Despite the LF7 hype, we pretend as if MaGee didn't average 7 yards per carry. I'm big on Dural, as his HS footage has always shown what type of playmaker he is, so I am not surprsed. I also think that RS freshman Kevin Spears will be a beast as well, if he sees the field.
The non commitment at QB lets me know that Harris really has a shot. I also wouldn't mind Jennings starting, because you know the lights wont be to big for him (he's been there, done that).
The other plus about AJ starting, is that he would have to play almost perfect ball to keep his job. So if he did screw up, it would probably be milliseconds before they pulled him for Harris.
If we get past Wisconsin, it's a done deal in my opinion.

This is really a class for the ages.

Of course they all have to pass class, and be good citizens before they can do anything on the field.

But I'm telling, I can't wait to see this play out.

And on the defensive side, Garrett and Adams look like they should be playing 2 years ago.

Really now. Seems like a little chest beating going on here.

If i had called the Saint Super Bowl before the season started in 09 Id still be beating on something. Some of us old timers are still pinching ourself.

I like your style doble'.
