P5 Champions Automatic Bids:

LSU (SEC)
Ohio State (B1G)
Clemson (ACC)
Oklahoma (BIG XII)
Oregon (PAC 12)

Three At-Large Bids:
Georgia
Baylor
Wisconsin

(1) LSU vs (8) Wisconsin
(2) Ohio St vs (7) Baylor
(3) Clemson vs (6) Oregon
(4) Oklahoma vs (5) Georgia

Still think we need an 8-team playoff?

That would be a complete waste of time.

Good illustration of how superfluously meaningless that would be.

Ugh!

No one below #3 deserves to play for it. Needed a #4 so stuck in. I have zero desire to see this expansion

I've always been for at least an 8-team playoff, but this shows it would be a waste this year.

Every team was in a championship game, so at least that’s something. Teams should be rewarded more for winning their conference, though.

Who gives a shite what an 8 team playoff would look like?

There are only 4 deserving teams this year based on the results that happened on the field.

Keep it at 4 teams.

Georgia/OU would be a close one.

The rest are spectacular blowouts.

How often do we have more than 4 teams who REALLY deserve a shot?

I can’t think of a year where I could argue for an 8-team playoff.

Not even a six, really.

In most years, there are three really good teams who you could make a case for winning it all.

I'm getting tired of this word. It's so subjective. Do you think the 61 bottom teams in March Madness don't deserve to play in it??? And aren't we surprised by a handful of those teams every year?

Seems like it was just an exercise to illustrate the absurdity of the idea.

Then we’d be right where we’re at now with the matchups. Georgia might give Oklahoma a game, but the rest are two score victories or more.

You know damn well you would be campaigning to expand it if LSU was ranked 5-8

Two completely different philosophical frameworks, though. I would assert, both work for their respective sports.

Exactly, so we had an 8 team playoff. We just referred to them as conference championships. No need to expand
