Do you honestly believe the committee genuinely felt LSU deserved a number 8 instead of a number 7 when they had a higher NET rating than every number 7 seed?

This is where the real “FIX was in”!
My God, Florida got a 7 seed w/less W’s overall, finished 2-3 spots behind LSU in the SEC & LSU Made the SEC-T Final & Florida got bounced in the 2nd Round! Please explain!!

Making LSU play a #1 Seed in the Rd of 32 makes it much easier to submarine them if they somehow make it to the 2nd Rd!!

Not saying they did but these type constant slights gives credence to the “Conspiracy” folks!

From my earlier post...

“I’m not saying the refs won the game”

But you can continue with your straw man arguments if it makes you feel better. You seem to put a great deal of effort into deflecting, just think if you put that kind of effort into facts or educating yourself about the topic you’re discussing.

I haven't done all the research, but Florida only had one less SEC loss (they played one fewer conference game) and they beat us head-to-head.

I don't know UF's NET numbers, Quad 1 wins, etc. (although I do know they beat West Va.), but it's not outrageous that they were a 7 seed. I do think we were underseeded a bit, but it doesn't really matter. To made a tourney run, you've got to beat very good teams. And let's be honest, Michigan was the worst of the 1 seeds, and was missing their second-leading scorer.

Agreed... and I am a huge LSU fan. The refs didn’t cost us the game... bad shooting cost us the game.
So true. As for the "material" foul on Cam, I think the last 2 fouls on their big man were bad calls and fairly "material". It just so happens that Wagner decided to wake up when Dickinson went to the bench.

Do you think it matters that syracluse has had THE ENTIRE OTHER HALF of their bracket DECIMATED by upsets? If they beat houston, there are 2 girl's schools battling it out to play them to go to the final 4. Seeding matters A LOT, and we've been getting SCREWED consistently for 40 years in the seeding process.

If we had florida's draw, we would have played oral roberts, and I would LOVE to play them instead of michigan. People always say you have to beat the good teams eventually, but that's not always true. It's called march madness for a reason.

you think the committee knew those upsets would happen? It’s just happenstance. There’s no nefarious plot against us.

Straw man, when are you going to address the individual calls discussed in the original topic? Seems you’ve done your best to deflect from that and build straw men instead.

Of course they didn't know who would beat who beforehand. Hell, we gave michigan a good run. But when you are seeded 8-9, guess what? You have the lakers in the next round, WHEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FACE THEM THAT EARLY.

If we had florida's seed (which we should have) we would have oral motherfreaking roberts next instead of the one seed.

Once again, look at the 'cluse. If they beat houston, they will play a team that starts a couple females in the elite eight. LSU would be better off as a ten, eleven or even TWELVE than an 8-9. This really isn't too hard to grasp.

Anyone who has followed LSU basketball since the 80's knows that we have been screwed CONSTANTLY by the committee.

You will hear me bitch about refs, but it's rarely if ever about an anti-LSU bias. I just think it's next to impossible to have a sufficient number of quality refs. The committee for whatever reason NEVER overseeds LSU, but usually underseeds us. The best we can hope for is an occasional proper seed, like a couple years back when we got a 3 seed.

so for 35+ years, the "committee" has screwed us?

You do understand that the committee is comprised of 10 members, each having a 5-year term. There's constant turnover, as members' terms are staggered.

I'd guess that some of the current members of the committee were in diapers back in the 80's, when apparently the committee's nefarious plan to screw LSU began.

Do you understand how utterly moronic your position is?

NO they did not. LSU had 9 offensive boards and Michigan had 5. For the game. Leblanc and Days were getting hammered inside. The second half started out with 6 fouls for Michigan and 1 for LSU. We were in control of the game. A few minutes later i look up and suddenly the fouls are 7 on LSU and 6 on Michigan ! We fouled them 6 times in a row all of a sudden ?? The 2 white officials gave Michigan all the calls/no calls. The black official gave LSU some calls but he was outnumbered 2 to 1.

No I don't understand. We have had Dale bitching publicly about the NCAA for years, calling them the gestapo, etc.., and now we have Will "public enemy #1" Wade coaching us. There is either a conspiracy over the years over how we are seeded, or we just have the darndest worse luck in how we are seeded. If you can point to ONE YEAR since 1980 that we were seeded ABOVE where we should be seeded I'll admit I'm wrong about this. Spoiler alert: you won't be able to find that year.

ok, I think we're clear about your position: You believe the NCAA is involved in a 40+ year conspiracy to seed LSU's basketball team lower than it deserves.

The NCAA was after Brown for over a decade and finally got him out by using a kid and another coach to makeup a story and we know for a fact that the basketball hierarchy has made a public effort to smear Wade and steer recruits away from LSU. But you’re right everything is totally honest about the NCAA and it’s bureaucracy, integrity is teaming throughout college basketball.

It's obviously not item #1 on the NCAA'S agenda, but it's been there for years. Or we are just terribly unlucky, and by happenstance, just always seem to be underseeded. I'm also still waiting for you to point out just ONE year we were overseeded. You'll find a 3 headed dog before you find that year by the way.
