So the refs got together in a huddle before the game, did a collective evil laugh and decided to fix the game in Michigan's favor? Is this what you honestly believe?

Do u honestly believe that didn’t happen ?

It was a bit inconsistently called and there were a few times that a foul would have helped but it wasn't fixed.

They simply outlasted us.

“They made bad calls both ways”

True. Now name the bad calls that totally shifted the game momentum to LSU’s favor.

That was a physical fast paced game. I thought early they were pretty even. It came down to our guys missing some shots we needed to make. Around the rim and foul line. If we make those then we don't give the officials an opportunity. Overall they guys played extremely hard, and I'm proud of them.

Oregon state shot about 28 free throws last night and should’ve shot 40+ but the refs tried all they could to get Okie State through.
wait, so the refs aren't just anti-LSU, a different set of refs were pro-Oklahoma State?

That's a whole lotta collusion going on.

(and don't you think, if this was true, that it would leak out, because there would be multiple sets of referrees in on the plot and direction coming from above).

Answer - there's no evil plot.

every team, in every game, in every sport, can point to bad calls that hurt them.

Please let this go - it's embarrassing.

If it's a fricking foul, call it. Cam had blood streaming down his arm from one foul that was not call. And, when a player steps out of bounds first, and a foul follows....call that horse crap.

Those two calls go our way and watford hits his FTs and we win that game

WOW ... Today I am renouncing my fanhood for LSU athletics because ive never heard so many whiney , myopic , boring fans that cant just pack up their Tiger Hoop gear until next year and admit they lost to a better team .. LSU showed well and Thomas and Watford are players but Will " The Cheater" Wade runs a street ball offense and LSU not good enough to get through playing that undisciplined ..these guys are not NOlan Richardsons hogs from back in the day ...now Bama and Arky play structured ball along with having sick athletes ...Sooooooooooooo I am no longer an LSU and Ohio St fan .. I am only an Ohio State fan now

I’ve been involved with basketball seriously for 27 years and those weren’t missed calls they were ignored with purpose. They came with certain timing and in bunches.
I always assume the "cheating refs" posters are teenagers who are just emotionally posting after a tough loss.

But it seems you're different, which is even more disappointing.

LSU had 20 fouls called on them; Michigan had 17. Michigan shot 25 FT, we shot 23. Neither of these is a material difference.

You know what IS material? Michigan shot 54%, 40% from 3. We shot 39%, 29% from 3.

And they outrebounded us 37-30, and out-assisted us 22-8, which typically means they were getting easier shots.

There's the difference in the game, not some nefarious plot by the referees.

“C’Mon Man”

The refs were inconsistent but they blew calls on both teams.

Days pushed a guy out of bounds. That should have been called
Wagner had I think 2 calls that were feather touches. Dickinson might have been 1 of those calls.

Cam got hacked at couple times. Watford did too but there are other reasons that LSU lost.

Not saying the fix was in but let’s not pretend that LSU isn’t the looked down upon program as of late. Everyone bashes us and the collective wants to make an example of us for a very subpar reason IMO. We missed too many shots but the refs weren’t making it any easier for us.

Regarding refs calling a biased game, I invite you to read this publication put out by, ironically, The University of Michigan. Page 21 starts the juicy stuff.

Also remember this guy?

And sooo many people said how could one ref make that big a difference?! Nobody believed it was possible until this guy. So no, a ref huddle isn’t needed but absolutely possible.

Newsflash: the refs aren’t there to make it easier for us.

And be honest-LSU earned this basketball bad boy throne. There was a post 2 nights ago with responders saying how great it is to be the bad boys of college basketball. But now we have people crying that we’re getting screwed because we’re the bad boys of college basketball. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

It’s kind of pathetic. We lost. Move on. Accept it. Get better.

Real answer - college basketball officiating isn't nefarious, it's just REALLY shitty.

Go to a game and watch the foul count. At some point in the first half, it'll be 11-3 in favor of some team. The shitty refs realize this and then bring out the microscope and call all manner of ticky tack shite on the other team to make sure it's a 12-10 foul count at the half.

EVERY frickING TIME.

Last night's foul count? 20-17.

I truly believe Juwan intimidated the refs into changing their course of the game in the second half

I was pissed about the refs for about 30 minutes of that game then I got over it bc we didnt finish or execute.

Michigan out played us and out coached us in the last 8-10 min of that game.

Its bullshite we were an 8 seed. That should have been a sweet 16 or elite 8 game.
