Go back to the traditional 8 team double elimination format like it was in the 80’s. The format was ruined when CBS decided to air a single game championship in the 90’s. Then ESPN regained the rights and said hold my beer with the current format which is basically a regional and super regional combined.

It evens out. We also got the worst 4-seed. Whomever played Oral got the beat 4-seed.

Florida got a much easier path on their side of the bracket. After they won last game it was a cake walk. It's a shame Virginia blew their game against them. Oh well.

I would think they could have 1 game from each bracket, each day. Something like:
Friday: Bracket 1 highest seed, bracket 2 highest seed
Saturday: Bracket 1 lower seed, bracket 2 lower seed
Sunday: Both losers’ brackets
Monday: Both winners’ brackets
Tuesday: Both losers’ brackets
Wednesday: Both semifinals game 1
Thursday: Both semifinals game 2 (if needed)
That would give the biggest advantage to the 2 highest seeds, assuming they both win out, and it would make both brackets equal in terms of rest.
Of course the flip side is the rest period between the supers and CWS, but I would think that’s less of an issue since there is a larger gap anyway. But they could do the same thing for the supers - let the higher-seeded hosts play Fri/Sat/Sun and the lower-seeded hosts play Sat/Sun/Mon instead of breaking it up by bracket.

Yes.. if it was performance based.. 1 seed 1st, or pick a slot.. or top seeds play Friday, etc.. but this blows. Arbitrary. Plus I want to see the best players play for the chip

It seemed to me that UF was the least talked about team in the SEC this year.
LSU dominated the first 12 weeks at number 1.
Arkansas won the West. Tennessee and Vitello plus Corbin at Vandy were expected to show out.
In the end , LSU faltered a little during the last 14 regular season games.
LSU could have been a 1 or 2 National Seed.

You go 2-0 you have a massive advantage and you deserve the right to have that advantage. You go 3-0 and you are allowed to set up your pitching for the championship series.

Florida is good but their bullpen is a liability.
If LSU were to play them the goal is to get the starter’s pitch count up and get them out as early as possible which is something lsu has been good at all year.
