Pros.
Mo money

Cons.
Less talent. Recruiting against Big12 and SEC programs. No in-state loyalty. Jimbo is a douche magouche. Lateral move. You're still playing Bama every year. Have to reestablish program.

He ain't going, but he getting a raise.

Jimbo Fisher doesn't scare me.

Dave Aranda going to a conference rival does.

bullshite. When he was hired, it was considered by many to be exorbitant.

It wasn't. Maybe for us but it was not crazy money. Believe it was around 1.5 a year. After he won the NC he was given a raise to 2.3 a year, which made him the highest paid coach in America by 1 dollar. And we flat out cannot afford to pay what A&M is. It isn't complacency, it's dollars and cents we don't have that they do. But I'm sure it's easy for you to play around w make believe money in your head and say you'd have the balls to spend it

Again what they are doing is unprecedented. You can't compare it to any other situation

Jimbo was 67-22 without Jameis. Sumlin was 31-20 without Johnny.

I’m sure it’s easy for you to do too. As opposed to, you know, the guys actually making the decisions. Maybe you know better. I doubt it though.

Gerry dinardo was getting less than 600,000 a year to coach when he was fired in 1999. Nick saban was paid 1.2 million a year when he was hired at lsu which also had the highest paid clause for a national title in it.I do not know how much the assistant pay changed, but the hc pay more than doubled. To put this in perspective, there were only 2 other coaches making more than a million a year at the time. Steve spurrier and Bobby Bowden. It was an incredibly bold move to hire a coach who was 34-24-1 at Michigan state the previous 5 years for that much money.

Aranda should make more than O. Just like every other field salary should be based on how replaceable you are.

Screw Aranda if he bails for the $. Is he not making enough right now? If he up and left his players high and dry at this point he'd be whoring them and himself. He has Devin frikkin' White returning and a major DL improvement.

LSU has money too. What does it matter to anyone in this forum how much they pay Orgeron or any other coach. If you want to have any say about this get on the board or open up your own private University.

If aTm wants to buy a championship they should start looking for a QB they can buy for Jimbo. Without a high end QB Jimbo is just another coach.

Aranda's going to learn it's hard to win in the SEC will less talent. Can do it at places like Wisky, but not in the SEC.

1) Jimbo can recruit and will bring up their talent level
2) Aranda would finally have an offense that backs back him up
3) A&M has a damn good head coach that makes those around him better.

I'm not afraid of him either, but I AM terrified of losing DA right now. I'd rather we make moves to correct the ship instead of burning everything to the ground.

Of course we can. LSU football makes $50 million per year. Profit! We could simply give Aranda $2 million more and just make $48 million.

Plus, LSU has boosters that are worth more than a billion dollars each. Go back and read that again. That illion had a “b” in front of it. One of those guys could hire every single college football coach in America.

They should just fire Orgeron now and promote Aranda to HC for what they're paying him now. Why the hell do you need Captain Caveman hanging around?? Yo, Adrienne bring me mo beers!

We did give them the best track coach in college, Pat Henry.

A&M needs a new coaching hire strategy.

Henry, Chavis, Aranda....... Go away little boy.
