The whole situation is nuts, yet it didn’t have to be if Daniels doesn’t take the action he has taken. This is all on Daniels. If what is being reported about his mother causing this, this is not about Daniels mother, Daniels should grow a pair and shut this down with a never mind.

The thing that annoys me the most is the contrarians going "ACKSHUALLY the lawsuit has nothing to do with the number it's because LSU is using his NIL for free"
First of all, the cease and desist isn't about the jersey number because legally JD5 can't tell LSU to not issue the number. But Pickett wearing 5 IS the reason they issued the cease and desist. And what NIL are they talking about? Having his name and stats in the facilities along with everyone else that won national awards, etc? Being part of highlight reels? Since when did anyone get paid for that?
It all boils down to JD5 and "his team" got butthurt that someone else at LSU was wearing 5 so now they want to erase all trace of him ever playing at LSU, which is clown shite

Only Daniels I miss is Travis Daniels who made the statement…I play for the name on the front of my jersey and not the one on the back. Helleva a man and player. Great teammate who played his arse off
