I'm ready to call it. Now obviously it doesn't mean a CWS title is guaranteed. Just making it there requires a little luck and some good fortune.

However, I think this team over all is a better ball club from top to bottom.

Starting pitching is not quite as good, but I think pitching top to bottom will end up being deeper. Hard to top the starters from last season, but I expect the pitching staff to get better and better as the season progresses.

Defense is about equal to last year. Defense will never cost LSU many games under CPM.

Offense is where I think this team will put this team over the top. They have so many weapons with the bats. There will be some legit bats sitting on the bench come regional play. Great problems to have for LSU.

I'm ready to predict now...a regional host. National seed, or very close to one when its all said and done. Reaching a super regional will happen, and then the good luck needs to start kicking in from that point, and hopefully a run can happen.

You’re an idiot if you’re ready to “predict” that shite off of a curb stomping of Hawaii.

This team doesn’t have the pitching or experience of last years squad. Let’s pump the breaks a bit before anointing them.

I'm encouraged, but would say let's get into a fee conference series before making proclamations.

Has nothing to do with beating Hawaii today. Im talking the total body of work so far. The way pitchers have progressed. The weapons this team has with the bats.

No, last years team was better. The team this year will be exciting when they start getting all of the arms healthy, getting Josh Smith back if he’s healthy enough to go will be a huge boost. It’s going to be a 2016 like team which was fun to watch.

You lose Lange, Poche, and Walker from last year and this team is better?

Which present starter would you put in the place of any of those 3, much less ALL 3

Enjoy your libation

Not sure whats funny about that. Hess is looking more dominant than Poche. Also has the ability to climb to Lange level as a friday guy. Gilbert will have great outings, and some not great (similar to Poche). The rest of the staff has looked great. Deeper than last season. Labas may end up being a legit starter. Hillard looks good so far. Hopefully Storz can add to the pitching depth soon.

With better bats, pitching will not have to be top notch every single game for this team to win games.

love your enthusiasm but you are just over the top and being overlyinfluenced by today's game. wait until we play some SEC games before predicting final year results. I will say we have MORE decent hitters and MORE decent pitchers but quantity doesn't win champiionships

FIFY.
It all depends on Storz IMO. Hilliard can be the Gilbert of last year. Labas can be Poche with a little more pop. Storz can be the freshmen Lange.

These freshmen bats will come alive as well.

I’ve predicted April 15th for this team to start really rolling. That is a little more than a month away.

If it is gonna happen, we should know by then.

Be patient Tiger fans.

Good to hear that there is still a few LSU fan with optimism.
We will be fine, but wait until the first SEC series at least before we buy our tickets to Omaha..

Well, we don’t have our shortstop jamming our third baseman into the stands on a ball that was called. So there’s that.
