If you don’t want a team to get into the playoffs, there’s a way to do that….beat them.

That’s the point being made here. 2 unranked teams DID beat them handily yet they are still going to put that shitty team in the playoffs.

No they aren’t. Who’s gonna drop out so Bama can get in?

Four from the B10
Three from the SEC
Two from the ACC
One from the B12
Notre Dame
Boise State

Alabama is not one of the three: Georgia, Texas and Tennessee

Both Ole Miss and Bama beat South Carolina though. And they also both have a win over UGA. I don't see how you can put South Carolina over either of them assuming neither of them choke in the Iron and Egg Bowls.

True but both Bama and Ole Miss have far worse losses than South Carolina. You HAVE to take that into account.

I actually thought the opposite following the release of the rankings. SMU moving up so high and Clemson ahead of Bama almost guarantees they are going to put 2 ACC teams in the CFP leaving the SEC only 3 spots.

The committee ranked South Carolina over us when we had the same record and beat them head to head.

Winning at Clemson would be enough to jump both

I'll concede that point to you, it didn't make sense to me then since we had a win against Ole Miss and the H2H but youre right the committee did put then ahead of us. It will be interesting to see what they do if all 3 teams win this weekend.

They absolutely dismantled us in Tiger stadium in every phase of the game. If they are an” also ran” how would you characterize LSU ?

Tennessee gets in ahead of both assuming they beat Vandy.

If not this year it’s clearly showing that they can possibly get in with 3 losses but let’s just say they loss to just Oklahoma and Vandy. Do they still deserve to play for a title? Hell no. 12 teams is too much, and they will do whatever they can to get big name teams in to create revenue. Let it be between Bama a some other team getting in and you will hear “Well Bama has the best quality win on the year so that was the deciding factor”. Meaning Bama brings in the most tv revenue ladies and gents

I was thinking after they lost to an unranked Vandy and fell to 9, that they would have to lose 3 times to be knocked out.

It appears to be 4 loses and they're out now.

ESPN's front page Saturday night is "what path is they're for a 3 loss Bama team."

"Eye-test" means that Bama can be in the Playoffs even with 3 losses, IMHO.

No team should ever be in with 3 losses and that’s why 12 teams is stupid in my opinion

I asked this last week and got no responses, but I’m genuinely curious as to who all y’all would put above them
South Carolina lost by 2 to Bama, AT Bama, but they could have easily won. South Carolina has the same record, but they are playing way better now. They are a legit top 4 SEC team.

They will butt stomp all but 1/2 of the teams in the playoff .
Half of those teams that played a sec schedule this year would be close to the playoff picture.

Well I spent months on here arguing with multiple clowns explaining exactly why a 12 team playoff is a complete joke. Congrats this proves my point the regular season doesn’t mean shite until some teams have 3 losses already then they are actually playing for their playoff lives. Should have never been more than about 6-8 teams. No team with 3 losses deserves to play for a national title period
This isn't going to happen every year. This was obviously an adjustment year for the whole sport with NIL and the portal and conference realignment, and all that. In due time it's going to settle into the haves and haves not like it always does.

They are already expanding to 14 and I doubt it stops there. Many 3 loss teams, especially the big brand name ones, will make the playoffs yearly which is ridiculous. It should never have expanded past 8.
