Yea they were, they just weren’t exact copies like in football. Things like position and which side of the plate they hit from weren’t always right but if you look at their sizes and skill sets and numbers you could figure out who was who. I’m talking 06 not 07 btw, in 07 you really had to dig to figure out who was who.
For example #21 for LSU is Clay Harris, he’s the 3rd most powerful hitter and 2nd/3rd best contact just like in real life only he wasn’t our shortstop like in the game. Same goes for #12 Patterson, #43 Stavinoha and so on.

The game came out in January 2006. None of these guys were on LSU in 2006.

I played ncaa football for like 6 seasons
Recruited all 5 stars
Won like 60 games in a row before I got tired of it.

I'm putting together a roster set that will turn MLB the show 20 into 30 college baseball teams.

Well i guess we can simulate that and follow the results

It’s the 05 Roster not 06. Just like Madden 20 uses 2019 rosters or NBA live 96 uses 95 rosters or most other games. Just go check it out it’s all there, compare MVP 06 LSU roster to our 05 team it’s nearly identical. Only some of the positions and R/L attributes are different.
For example Clay Harris is a SS on the game, Chris Jackson is a lefty hitter and Determan is a starting pitcher but those are the only minor differences and can easily be adjusted.
Patterson #12
Stavinoha #43
Harris #21
Hydell #3
Sprowl #24
Determan #33
Mestepey #46 exct..

The game came out ahead of the 2006 season.
Just like MVP baseball 2005 (best video game every btw) before it, the EA sports baseball game name year was the same as the season.
It wouldn't make any sense for a new video game to come out right before a new season with rosters from the season before. The overall team ratings were based on real life, but the rosters themselves were completely random.
ETA: Also, Lane Mestepey and Buzzy Haydel never played on the same team.

I currently have an 11 year national championship streak on NCAA Football 14 with the Tigers.

Re-watch all 15 games of the GOAT season in college football

It pisses me off how lazy EA was in making those games.
Each team only had two uniforms and in the 07 version, fricking toonces was on LSU's hat.
Still fun as hell, but it could've been soooooo much better.
Let me preface this by saying I've never liked EA, but I know what to bitch about and what not to bitch about - unlike you.
It pisses me off when people like you sit back and think all of that just happens by magic. You ever heard the terms "budget" and "labor"? Developing video games requires very arduous and extensive labor which results in high costs. Game developers like EA have hundreds of developers working on these games and they're on a budget. Obviously, it was probably in the design to get the logos right, but other things take priority when it comes crunch time (due to budget). And because they're on a budget (which is probably already low because it's NCAA baseball), they decided each team only gets two uniforms.
Yet, Broski thinks they're just "lazy" - typical college kid response (and you're probably much older than that)

You need to relax, champ.
And yes I think it was extremely lazy that NCAA MVP 06 (the one that was rushed) had the correct LSU hat , but NCAA MVP 07 had the incorrect one.

Like I said all you have to do is go look and check for yourself it’s all there. Instead you sit here continuing to look like a moron arguing against reality as you often do.

Sorry you can’t handle facts. Like I’ve said multiple times feel free to look for yourself. But you won’t, instead you’ll continue to argue things you have no idea about with people who actually know better. Lol no wonder your takes always suck.

You said Buzzy Haydel was on the 2005 roster. (You also spelled Haydel wrong)
