he is asking for a medical redshirt not a waiver that D2 doesn’t count

Yall do know he's basically asking for a medical red shirt due to mono tonsillitis right. Which can be severe and linger but I think they are struggling to prove severity. I just don't know where it stops. Are you granted a extra year due to the flu, athletes foot, a tooth ache? I mean a good long snapper stands to make a extra 200 grand a year if he can medically redshirt over bad cold. I ultimately think they error on the side of caution and grant it due to amount of money at stake for the kid but it will be after the portal opens and his only play is staying at Ole Miss.

As bad as the QBs in the bottom 20 of the league are he should go to the draft. But he will not.

It’s been downhill ever since fricking Justin Fields got a free transfer to Ohio State because he “heard racist words in the stands” at a UGA spring game. The NCAA didn’t want the look of telling a black guy no, so they capitulated.

think even if he gets the extra year he doesn’t play in college next year.

It certainly is a weak QB class.

I know some will disagree because they want him at LSU but why in the hell does he play one more year of college football? I mean he has proven what he can do and I am not saying he is a first rounder but he has the talent to play at the next level even if it is as a backup

Because he has a more lucrative market in college football than the NFL. He likely goes undrafted or is a late round pick not guaranteed to make the roster. If he plays another year in college he likely makes between $2M - $3M next season.

That’s why you are seeing steps to remove the eligibility cap in college sports. Because for many players their opportunity to earn big money is in college, not the pros

And we have Pavia, who has played six years, filing suit to keep playing. Surely, he has a degree by now. Lol. If they allow this, it’s a slippery slope. No longer “college” football.

He will get paid more in that seasonal college football then in any year of his rookie contract. He will not be a first-round pick, maybe a day 2 pick, at best

His waiver request is mainly based off an injury at Ferris state.
Not injury, tonsillitis. And he was still going to practice and all. Seems weak, but the NCAA may be reluctant to cost this kid millions in NIL.

Won’t matter

If they get it front of the right liberal judge, he will be given another year.

We have literally had 2 Heisman QBs in recent history.

No doubt!

Last season at OM Lane had one QB returning, Simmons, Maddox was a RS Freshman. Then brought in 4 Transfer QB’s. I don’t see us having problems getting a QB.

And there's always the risk that just one more year could result going from the mountain peak to Death Valley - just ask Nuss.

There's no way that you can grant Trinidad a waiver because then you open a giant can of worms.

So explain Pavia… 6 yrs of playing football with no RS at all.

And Pavia wants yet another year. He’s dreaming of getting Heisman if he plays next year. Won’t happen.
