So Nuss threw for over 4,000 yards his first year as a starter. Were you expecting 6 or 7 thousand yards his second season?

no, the jump that was anticipated was more along the lines of better decisions with the football, tucking and running more, and fewer turnovers.

Do you think Kelly knew that he would be gone if the season didn't turn out well?

I would think so.

Is that why he showed how bad he was? Did the coaches and staff not know?

Nuss is going to be one of the last guys we ever had that stuck around and put his guts into the program because he truly loved LSU. You urinating on his legacy for not reaching your expectations is a fitting reminder that these guys should take the biggest NIL bag moving forward.

This is quite the spin job. This guy opted out every chance he got and only did for him. Look, I’m pulling for the guy but let’s not act like he did anything special here.

He was paid for his time and paid well. He underperformed for that money. Hurt or not, his game iq was as low as it got for a top level qb.

Stop with all the spin and gaslighting

May be 51 yards without stepping into a throw (stand-still throw).

The offense sucked. The schemes sucked. OC was obsessed with short passes to the flat under the guise of making the receivers do most of the work after the catch. Receivers running really bad routes and being in wrong places on certain plays. OL was horrible, could not run block for shite and not better for pass blocking. Nussmeier and even Van Buren had little or no time for set up on most downfield attempts.

Then there was Nussmeier who was never the same after TAMU in 2024. He got figured out and without more dynamic receivers looked less than pedestrian

This doesn’t mean shite. The guy played terrible. If he was that hurt, he should have been on the sideline

Negative, he was still better than the backup, even at 70%. LSU does not win 7 games with the other guy in my opinion.

It’s amazing how many opinions there are in this thread. People don’t like Nuss because he didn’t pull himself before the season, people don’t like Nuss because he was only able to play half the season, and people don’t like Nuss because he didn’t play the entire season…

In my early 40s, just tried throwing a football with one of my friends from college and was lucky to get it 25 yards in the air anymore. After about 5-10 minutes my shoulder felt like I just burned out to fail on shoulder press.

51 yards is the longest air distance?

Clearly they aren’t airing it out. That isn’t very far for a random good athlete

It’s not even a load and throw for an actual QB

I assume it's just during the course of throws made during drills/scrimmages, not just trying to throw the ball as far as possible. How often do QBs throw the ball 50+ yards in an actual game?

Bust’s PR people are going to be putting out stories in the media between now and the draft about how bad he was hurt. It’s bullshite. If he was hurt he would have been on the bench where he eventually ended up.

You would've been on here saying he has no chest and he's too much of a pussy to play through an injury.

Why the secrecy - just come out with he is hurt. The secrecy from whoever’s camp started it.
