You’re saying I don’t know who goes out and evaluates the players we recruit? Jay Johnson, Josh Jordan, Josh Simpson, Nate Yeskie.
They also get evaluated by Marc Wanaka, Justin Bridgman, and Jamie Tutko through film.
Just because you don’t know doesn’t mean that no one does.

It's pretty hard to be absolute dog shite in all 3 phases of the game. I don't remember a team who was damn near last in the league in all 3 of them. It's more than a talent problem with this team

No, I honestly don’t, and your schtick of shitting on everyone’s opinions is tired too. I think there are probably others who are scouting these players. It isn’t just Jay and his staff. And I am in no way suggesting he should be fired. But changes need to be made. Stop being an arse.

Subject matter experts beyond Jay reached the same conclusion Jay did about the talent.
Jay is the only one who is held responsible for being wrong. That’s what he signed up for.

It all kind of bleeds together though.
Dominant pitching gets derailed by shitty defense and then put right back on the mound by shitty at bats, so then the pitching becomes shitty. And cycle repeats and worsens.

I’m pretending to know that Jay evaluates players himself and that Josh Jordan is the recruiting coordinator and that Josh Simpson is a former scout? And that Yeskie sees every pitcher we recruit and that they leverage video guys as well?
All of this is public information.
I’m not pretending to know anything. You’re just so mind numbingly stupid that when multiple people give you the same information you still bitch about not knowing.

We got to see it from this angle. They want to win and thats enough for me. We already had the grave dug before we got to the aTm series. The faggies can be beat but they are pretty fricking good this season not too mention UGA. The difference in comparison to aTm's athleticism and player build was night and day to the Tigers. I think Jay saw this too.
How does that happen at a place like LSU?
Ill say this though. Jay has his work cut out for him because next season will be very trying to replace an already failed transfer portal(some will be gone to eligibilty) in "some areas" not all(i think there is some potential pitching wise there), lose some to the draft and players that maybe should leave for someone else that is better suited to play at LSU. If Jay doesnt hit on all cylinders in the offseason for next season and get some luck to go with it, it may be a tough one again. This is more of what is a concern. Jmo.

There isn't some secret cabal of scouts Jay pays under the table to give him evaluations. The coaching staff scouts players. The coaching staff talks to other scouts in other programs and at different levels of baseball. How it works for every sport, everywhere, at every level.
Also, re: "shitting on your opinion" - You haven't really formed an opinion. I deduced by the stupidity of the question that your opinion was that we need a new coach, which yes, I will shite on that opinion until the cows come home.
What someone who actually wanted an answer would post would read something like: "Is Jay the only one who scouts the players? I was looking at our coaching staff bios on LSUsports.net and saw that no one has the title of "scout." Does Yeskie look at the pitchers? Do they have help from the player development people? How does this process work, because I'm not familar with it."
People who ask questions in bad faith say things like "This team sucks arse, who does the scouting? It's impossible for LSU to be this bad"

I’m not asking anything in bad faith. Have I suggested that anyone be fired? Quite the opposite. I don’t want Jay to go. But some changes need to be made. You twinks just get your panties in a wad whenever someone points it out.

No illusions about where we’re at in '26, but there are still 4 SEC series and the SECT and if somehow players improve, we can make the field.
Beyond all that, I strongly suspect CJJ will have an Uncle Jed style long-talk with himself about what he should have done and could have done differently - both before and after the season.
For now, IMO (and Skip's), it's after tax day and he needs to stop with all the wild batting order changes.
