Yeah the defense gave up 45 and quit for an entire quarter. Calling them certified pussies was me being nice. Jayden didn’t play perfectly, but the game was still winnable if there weren’t so many key drops and the random play where Nabers fell down.

I recognize he isn’t a perfect QB, but I also realize he’s not even close to being the number 1 issue on this team like he is made out to be by many on the board.

Good news is that JD will not be QB at LSU next season. For that I’m grateful

I'm watching the replay now. I'm sorry but JD was bad in this game. I'm still a fan but it's pretty obvious he didn't deliver. I'd like to see another QB when a game like this is on the line. I mean, even Saban replaced his QB in the natty. No hate here, just my opinion.

He is not. As a passer, he appears to play scared. Throwing only 2 INTs means that you are unwilling to trust your receivers. Modern football is not about who is open; It is about matchups. When an LSU WR is one-on-one down the sideline, that is a win for LSU. If the QB throws the ball and the WR loses the battle, it is on the WR, not the QB. The QB has to be willing to make the throw in the first place.

The only metric that matters to this board is throwing the ball downfield.

And don’t even think about blaming the receivers. They’ve made catches before, so we know they’re good and aren’t the problem. Jayden has played lights out before against excellent competition but he wasn’t perfect Sunday and wasn’t able to keep the defense from giving up massive plays all night. His fault.

No hate here, but that’s dumb. What did JD do that was consistently bad?

Outside of Nabors LSU WR’s struggle to catch balls that are in their hands and they may have to make an adjustment to catch. Do you think that maybe this plays into JD not trusting his guys in one on ones?

He's a good QB as long as we're ahead. As soon as we go down 2 scores, we're toast without significant improvement at DB.

Jayden isn’t perfect, but this board is getting embarrassing with the Jayden Slander. (And I don’t even necessarily mean this thread). I just mean in general since last night.

Because, they don't know what they're talking about. I honestly don't know how they watched the same game and came up with different conclusions. I mean it's pretty cut and dry. This forum is the only one bitching like a child about switching the QB's. Not the play calling, not the dropped passes, not the fact our boys straight up quit in the second half. None of that.. It all on the QB.

If there are no dropped passes. If Malik doesn't slip and fall. If we don't fumble the punt. If we score both times in the red zone. If we blitz Perkins 20 times instead of 7. What is the score of the game? Does jayden need to play better. yes. But he is not the reason we lost the game.

He sucks. I don’t see with his numbers how he is a starter in the zSEC.

Bump. Crazy thread. Only a few defending Jayden. Even in my defense, I said that Burrow’s season couldn’t be matched and Jayden damn near did it anyway.
