Joe Burrow will eat you alive if you bring more than 4. They will more than likely try to bring 3 and drop 8 in coverage with multiple disguises.

Maybe once Venables realizes Burrow carves up blitz packages, but he'll send pressure early. It's in his blood.

Clemson has 2 sacks and 7 TFL against Bama last year.

are you that dense?

Is that dline showing up?

Is LSU led by a beatup Tua?

Did Bama run a well-oiled version of the Saints offense?

Last year means nothing and this year's LSU squad would beat 2018 Bama's arse too......

Just to confirm: you expect the #1 scoring defense in the nation to hold LSU to 1 point below their season average

I don’t know how many points LSU will score, but there are 2 problems with the season average:

1. It’s a new system that the team has gotten better at running as the season has gone on.

2. They’ve shut it down in the 3rd quarter in most games.

LSU is playing at a higher level than they have all season. Actually they’re playing at a higher level than anyone has in any season. I think they’ll play their best game of the year on Monday. I also think that Clemson will pose a threat late into the game, which will mean LSU will want to keep scoring late in the game.

If LSU stays under 40, it will be because Clemson couldn’t keep up, ala UGA.

Great analysis. Tell us more about how the Front 3 of Clemson last year held Bama's record-setting offense in check all game. Any stats or proof?

If Clemson couldn't keep up against that LSU defense, it's because Trevor Lawrence was injured in the first series of the game. If LSU scores under 40, >75% they are losing. Clemson has never scored less than 40 in a CFP final.

This defense just held OSU to 1/2 their scoring average and lowest point total of the year. Yet 50% of the predictions on here are for LSU to score MORE than their 48 PPG scoring average. Just saying...the similarities between this board and Bama's board the week before the game are incredibly striking. I enjoyed watching their board meltdown during the game and for the weeks afterward last year. I'll do the same this year.

Okay, let me step into Retardville like you for a second.
According to you, LSU beat Bama because Tua was hobbled right? I guess the fact both Fields and Dobbins were hobbled doesn't count to you, huh?

Touchdown passes dropped, a few bad calls helped Clemson mightily.

It should be a great game, we'll see what happens.

Stepping out of Retardville now, make sure you rake them damn leaves, looks like shite.

I want to know why you think those extra 1.2 PPG should make LSU fans predict scoring 40+ PPG against a defense that is as good as it was last year

Never said LSU beat Bama because of Tua's injury. Said that giving up 41 and >500 vs a hobbled Tua should make you scared to play any balanced offense. OU is not a balanced offense, and they are not built to pass. I think Clemson may be built to pass, not sure.

no shite

and his logic would have this year's LSU squad on par with last year's or further......but, wait. LSU's offense is led by a record breaking Heisman winner and on pace to be the best EVER in college football.

But, last year and shite.

And don’t look now, but LSU is peaking in their ability to get QB pressure with 4, due to RL and GL reaching full health after working through significant injuries from early in the season.

And now we add Michael Divinty to the mixed and it spells trouble for Clemson.

Today I learned from our resident Clemson posters that LSU will lose the football game because LSU fans watched the game between LSU and Oklahoma

This is bullet-proof logic, I can’t see how anyone could possibly refute that line of reasoning!

I've never seen a fanbase say their record-breaking QB was going to light up the Clemson defense. This is solid analysis.
