re: Is this our biggest game ever?

You guys seem to have trouble beating them recently. Feel free to hit me up for some tips

We have the same number of Nattys. LSU is a”good” program. A nice little brother to Alabama

Yes because if LSU loses in NOLA with their best QB ever, they lost their only chance to win a Natty under Coach O. It’s back to 9-3 next year regardless for you guys, but at least a Natty would make the 2020 Citrus Bowl a little sweeter

We had 70 redzone trips so far this season and have scored on 68 of them with 55 of those being TD's
Worse than OSU going into the CFP (59/72)...and we all saw what happened to them...

So against the 4 Top 10 defense LSU faced, they averaged <40 ppg.
Yet >50% of the predictions on here have LSU scoring over 50.
You guys are going to be sorely disappointed.

Majority of sharp money is on Clemson. Only morons betting LSU -5.5

So are you. It's we love it.
I see it like this. We are gonna score barring turnovers. Can we get 3-4 stops to blow them out or do they answer us score for score and it comes down to big plays, who can make a key stop and who has the ball last. Win the toss, defer and let's see what happens. We stop them and score right after, it could get ugly.
Clemson was down 14-0 to Bama in 2016 and 16-0 to OSU a few weeks ago.
Yeah, if LSU goes up 7-0, it could get ugly
re: Rewatched Bama Clemson last night

Look, Clemson was the better team that night. No doubt about it. But that was a perfect storm of events that lead to the blowout score. That should have been a much closer game. Bama repeatedly moved the ball up and down the field only to turn into the bad news bears every time they got into the red zone, where they became comically bad.
That is the key to this game tonight. Score touchdowns in the red zone. Alabama and Ohio State lost to Clemson solely because of their inability to do so.
The first 2 times Bama got into the RZ they scored 10 points. The 3rd time they got into the RZ, they had a turnover on downs. By then the score was already 37-16.
You clearly didn't watch the game. Thanks for the insight, though.
Game was over by the time Bama started struggling in the Redzone.

So was Higgins.
Sounds like you guys are getting a little nervous

It evens out with the 2 Pick 6's that Clemson dropped. Thanks though

Yes, I’m stupid for looking on Clemson messaging boards and listening to podcasts, but I was hoping to get a little insight on them (quickly realized how lucky we are for somewhat unbiased media in BR).
BUT How is it possible for an entire fan base to be so entitled and superior, while also feeling disrespected at every turn. This is seriously the worst, most unintelligent fan base I’ve ever come across
You have seen everyone predicting LSU scoring 50+ and winning by 4+ TDs in the prediction sticky, right? Just checking.
re: Bringing Up the UNC-Clemson Game Over and Over Is Dumb

Agreed. Problem I have is that NO ONE brings the UNC game up when talking about the great Brent Venables but EVERYONE brings up the Ole Miss game when taking about Aranda.
Why would anyone bring up Venables? Clemson D gave up 20 points and <300 yards. UNC didn't even break 200 yards until the 4th quarter. They had 11 drives and scored on 3 of them. 6 of their drives were 15 yards or less. That game was due to sloppy O play, not D.

Yeah...they said the same thing last year....
UNC would beat Texas by 3 TDs.

You’re saying Clemson will score 50? Don’t you realize how dangerous crack is?
Clemson could've set the record for most points scored in a Natty last year on your big brother if the starters had played even a single snap in the 4th quarter. And all of those guys are back.
But nah, this elite LSU defense will hold Clemson to 24.

Well Clemson got 25% of the tickets in general for being a participating school, so an aftermarket of ~10% isn’t that much.
Some more Cajun math.
These numbers are only based on the residents that are buying on Stubhub and Ticketmaster. They have no idea who is buying what.
You ever been to NOLA? I can almost guarantee that 10% of those purchases are by scalpers who have zero intention of going into the game and don't care who buys it from them.

Confirmed. LSU 48 Clemson 27
I have. LSU has sadly played 3 1-possession games this year. All of them worse teams than Clemson. Which is why picking Clemson to win is the easy bet.

Last year's Bama team was not historic. Maybe historic in respect to Bama's history, which like LSU, had always been a traditional power running school, but not all-time historical. This LSU team might very well be the best offense ever in college football history in terms of exceptional passing prowess coupled with the ability to run effectively when called upon. Big difference.
Clemson fans need to stop with the Bama said the same thing last year talk. We ALL know this LSU offense is way more formidable than Tua throwing screens and slants all day... Joe is throwing downfield, so its not whether your corners can keep their man in front of them and tackle immediately to prevent YAC.
Rather, can Clemson's corners cover 3 elite receivers who are exceptional at catching passes, in addition to a solid TE and a near-elite, pass-catching RB, from the most accurate and decisive QB in college football history?
Honestly, LSU offense might damn well be a Top 10 offense in the NFL RIGHT NOW, if the O-Line could sustain their pass protections. And its not hyperbole...
This year's LSU team came into the CFP averaging 1 more point and 25 more yards than Bama last year. And that's with Burreaux playing far more snaps than Tua because the defense sucked for the first 8 games.
Burrow only sat out 4 4th quarters this year. That's horrible. I think Tua sat out 10 or 11 last year.

Lol, is that some Cajun math?
It's practically 60/40, which will be almost imperceptible and is, frankly, a little disappointing. When you're 80 miles from the stadium you should be at least 75/25. Not impressed.

Stats are irrelevant given the schedule.
OU had not allowed a 300 yard passer all season long.. LSU threw for like 500..
OU gave up 282 yards and 5 TDs to 7-6 Iowa state. We're all impressed with Burreauxxexx

Are you slow or something?
Using stats and performances from this years teams isn’t the same as citing players (who are no longer playing) and stats from last year you retard.
Keep believing that last years Clemson defense is playing on Monday.
Agreed. Luckily for Clemson the difference makers in the Natty last year were not the ones that left the team. Phew!
