Scott went with the safe and consistent option. We’ll see how it plays out over Johnson’s career. C- start

We didn’t pass on Schloss. A&M got him before we could.

He’s an incredible hire by A&M.

None of those 4 coaches would have done any better with the pitching that we had

Johnson is just a scapegoat for the idiots.

All are playing with players they recruited and not the prior years coach recruits. Big f____king difference. You all can start making sarcastic comments in 2 to 3 years. The stupidity on this board is nothing short of amazing.

Everyone mentions how the pitching staff will get better. I agree

But people fail to acknowledge there is a very real possibility this is the best lineup JJ ever has at lsu as well

That would be why they finished 2nd in the SEC in Runs per game.

It's documented that I was on the Godwin train.

umm, yeh. Kinda my point

Yes our pitching will get better, but our offense is going to likely get worse as well. This team wasn’t as”awful and hopeless” as some want it to be

I agree. At the plate this lineup has to be the best he ever has. Yea you can start making excuses that they suck in the field but that’s his job to make them better defensively. That’s just coaching and practice.

Schloss completely rebuilt his team. He wouldn’t have had this pitching staff.

None of those coaches take the worst staff in conference and produce the 4th ranked ERA.They basically took chicken shite and turned it into something edible. And I doubt those coaches get Jacob Berry,Jobert, and McManus to add to the lineup.Without Johnson there is no telling what those coaches would have been able to do but I have a feeling it wouldn’t have been great this year.

Cool, but no pitching whatsoever.

He will field good offenses. It actually could get better. So many injuries too.

So what good is an A+ lineup with D or F pitching?

I would take B+ hitting and B pitching.

Let’s see how he addresses the pitching, because I believe the hitting will continue.
