This may be a reach, but it is a fact. All they have is a snippet from a transcript of a conversation involving someone that yahoo claims is Will Wade. If this case is plea dealed and never goes to trial then no one will ever hear this tape. If that is the case how do we even know if it was Wade on the tape?

Going after Avenati for extortion when he said he can prove Nike is far more involved with high ranking citizens tells me that something is awry

Regardless of whether something is awry or not, the FBI should definitely go after Avenati for extortion.

Alleva will be praised by his boss for being cautious and bring back tGOAT. Don’t get your hopes up about alleva getting fired. As much as I’d love to see it. :/

Why do you say this? The Dawkins trial isn't the end of this and even if he does reach a plea deal the evidence will still likely be entered into the record and the FBI is still turning a lot of it over to the NCAA.

Also, Chuck Person's trial is slated to begin in June, so I'm sure a lot of this will resurface at that time.

Our admin absolutely botched this from the beginning and Wade should have never been suspended, but if you think this story ends with the conclusion of the Dawkins trial, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

That is not how it works, if he takes a plea the tapes are not “entered into evidence for public consumption”

I'm almost positive evidence and affidavits can be entered into the record with a plea agreement.

Regardless, this is the second trial here and a third is coming up this summer. I'm pretty sure most of the evidence will get into the record at some point.

But it really doesn't even matter what gets into court records of the FBI plans on turning everything over to the NCAA anyway.

He still won't be able to explain away the tapes to LSU admin, even if he doesn't testify. Same result.

Nothing to explain. They can read them and come to zero conclusions in reference to illegal activity.

Dawkins would have to give something up in the deal which could likely be wade and any other coaches he “conducted business” with

Think a plea agreement would be more about him assisting in going after Nike or other shoe companies engaged in the same conduct he was on behalf of adidas.

Coaches don't seem to be the target. More importantly, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of him actually doing business with Dawkins. Talking to him, sure, but it doesn't seem like he was doing any "business" with Dawkins.

Also, IF Wade made an offer for payment of a player, he did nothing illegal. He may have violated NCAA rules, but again he did nothing criminal so Dawkins can’t “give him up.”

Guess a plea deal would mean Wade wouldn’t have to testify, so that could facilitate his return.

Right. So I guess it means he can lie (or tell the truth) without fear of perjury? and also severely limits the reach of the NCAA if court documents are sealed.
Even still.. There would be an investigation I would think? If Alleva was still around I can only assume he would offer them something to drink, skip any further formalities, and bring them straight to the dead bodies.
