Not sure what, if any, impact this could have on Wade, but I would assume it would be better than a full-on trial.

(I was told this by a friend, so I have no clue how valid the info is, but I’m holding out hope until I hear that Wade is officially fired)

He still won't be able to explain away the tapes to LSU admin, even if he doesn't testify. Same result.

Wouldn’t all of the records be sealed by the feds if a plea deal is agreed upon?

Guess a plea deal would mean Wade wouldn’t have to testify, so that could facilitate his return. Oh, and Joe must go.

Sure he will: LSU scholarship and his parents attending every game. I just explained it away.

That’s what I’m hoping. Of course the month of March and the tournament will be a sore spot, but if this all ends up meaning we keep Wade and Alleva is gone, I would take it!

I think that is correct.

I think Avenatti claiming to have dirt on Nike makes it more likely they will plead or dismiss additional charges on Dawkins. It looks suspect that the DOJ is going after Adidas and seemingly turning a blind eye to Nike for the same thing.

Maybe the prosecutor will make him a strong-arse offer...

What tapes? Have you seen any tapes. Has Alleva or the NCAA?

Dawkins was sentenced to 6 months. I would think that he would have to seriously consider a deal where the new sentence is no more than 6 months to run concurrent with the first sentence.

Don’t forget about guaranteed playing time and a dope choice of on campus lodging arrangements and tutoring hours.

90+% of these end in plea deals. We’ve been saying this from the beginning. Yahoo was strategically leaked information for just this purpose.

Hope you're right but I haven't seen or heard any plea deal rumblings at all.

How do you know Nike isn't next? or will be if DOJ gets enough evidence?

Alleva wants WW back. So do I. And WW's reputation has been tarnished among the national media and people who hire HC's. WW is not getting a bigtime job offer anytime soon.

WW can just spend his entire career in BR and that would be fine with me.
