Losing to Texas as bad as that would be might spur this team on. It’s all about the SEC games.

Which is why a blanket statement about a number of losses is stupid as hell. I wouldn’t expect different from the OP.
We return 16 starters including our QB

If this isnt the year for us to make a playoff push and we lose 3 games this staff cant get it done

There is no other way to slice that. UF and A&M will only improve going forward

This. You get a perfect storm roster like this every 3-4 years. Must capitalize

No losses are acceptable. Tired of people just penciling in a Bama loss, that loser mentality extends to the coaches.

Since the season hasn't even started how do you know some teams won't be great that right now we think will suck?

"Show me a happy loser and I will show you a loser"

I expect to win all games.
Having said that, I bet that is said bay all SEC teams in a very competitive environment where one bad call can cause a loss. i.e. A&M 2018.

Only one team will win it all and that does not mean that other teams did not have a good season.
Some people need to get a sense of reality.

How we get there, I do not care,

Agreed. If they don’t win the West this season, Woodward will have some big decisions on his hands.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I really, really want to beat Florida. I feel like they, for no particular reason, have had our number since Orgeron became the coach at LSU.

recruiting is getting better. I would expect the roster to get better over time as well. We need to aim for a strong roster every year same as the top teams such as Bama, Clemson, and Ohio State are doing. Just need to continue doing what we are doing and we will get there.

Unfortunately, I see this team having three losses this year.

This whole line of thinking is so fricking stupid. Games aren’t played on paper on August 1st. We have no idea how good we’ll be, no idea how good our opponents will be. We have no idea who’ll tear their ACL in 2 weeks or who’ll miss time throughout the season. But most importantly it shits on the players’ potential accomplishments. Yeah, you hate the coach and can’t wait for us to lose 3 games so you can pound your chest on here hating him some more. But the players have to go out and actually play the fricking schedule. If they go 11-1 or 10-2, they should commended for actually going out and doing the damned thing in real life, not “meh”ed because some dumb frick on the internet has determined that is the only thing “acceptable” on August fricking 1st.

Wins and losses have been a staple of predictions, particularly for football, for decades.

This isn't some new development.

Even with the game being played on the road, we have a better shot at beating bama this year than we have had in years, I still think there is a talent gap there though. I would put LSU at about +150, or 40% of winning that game at this point in time.

I agree. It is nothing but big talk until the games are played (and I don't mean just the big talk about wins, predictions of losses - including mine - are also big talk).

I just hope LSU won't have that one "bad" loss where they lose to what should be an inferior team.

I totally disagree. There are not TWO acceptable losses on this year's schedule.

As a "wait and see" guy, this is the year I've been waiting for. I've given the staff the benefit of many doubts so far, but this is the year it has to all come together.
