The witch hunt against Will Wade is a blessing in disguise

This man is such an alpha, great coach and leader that schools would be licking there chops trying to hire him away from LSU. With the allegations (they have nothing) he really is untouchable for other programs. Which means we get to keep him for that much longer. Enjoy the ride because we are on the cusp of dominating in basketball as long as WW is here.

Basically the NCAA threatened LSU football and the scape goat is Wade. That is what is going on here....

This is exactly what is wrong with some of you. This "let's just ride for three years" is the reason we are not Kentucky. We are not Duke. We are not Carolina. Have a deeper view. Have a longer term vision.

Wrong, the reason we are not those programs is because our program is run like a banana republic. When you find an exceptional coach, you defend him and stand by him. So relieved you have no say in the AD.

How do you think you get to be one of those teams? They all cheat too. Wade screwed up by talking on the phone. Hiring him was the long term view which is why he got the long contract to begin with. You take that chance every time if you're the worst program in the conference. It was a fun three years IF he isn't here for year 4 and beyond. No regrets whatsoever.

The teams you mentioned are grandfathered in as essentially untouchable. They Cheat, they cheat badly, and everyone knows it but their prestige allows them to skate
It was time to take the plunge and risk it. Play their game or be prepared to swim in the waters of mediocrity like you have been for decades

Who gives a frick if it does. I’m not a basketball guy and I started watching regularly solely because WW’s made it so much fun. If Will Wade isn’t our coach I won’t be watching anyway

Those programs are blue bloods when it comes to basketball but you are fooling yourself if you think that they are squeaky clean.

I have NO doubt they cheat. Absolutely. But if we know after three years WW is gone and we suck again, this isn't worth it.

Of course they cheat. That's not the statement that was made. He said we will have WW for three years and then we suck again. That's not worth it.
