Coach Wade said Robinson is doing conditioning 3 times a day and that he had lunch with him the other day and he was eating grilled chicken and vegetables.
No mention of him not being on the team next year.

I don't think people realize how shite the bubble has been every year recently.

You don't have to be a good team to make the NCAA Tournament. I would be surprised if we aren't a bubble team next year.

Throwback jerseys would be sick. The tight top and baggy shorts they wear now looks ugly

I like what Wade has done with LSU so far, but Missouri with Cuonzo...Damn!

To me, Cuonzo is similar to Johnny Jones. He a great recruiter but mediocre coach. Jones is a terrible head coach tho.

Wait a minute...are you trying to tell me that wade is actually trying to build a competitive basketball team THIS YEAR?! AT LSU?! Johnny jones sucked so fricking bad that it blows the mind. Wade comes in and within a short period of time is assembling a squad better than JJ had on the court when he had over 5 years to recruit. What a fricking joke JJ is/was. He's a horrible coach. Wade will make LSU basketball great again without question. I love his energy. It would be so easy to write off next season and prob the season after that as rebuilding years, but frick that noise, he's a winner, and wants to win NOW! I love it.

Johnny jones could have 5 first round picks in the lineup and it wouldn't matter bc he's a horrible basketball coach. He fricking sucks. I can't believe how bad of a job he did. Worst in LSU history. Will wade is used to winning with VCU level talent...he will get it rolling at LSU very soon.

This, I honestly don't think we can accurately judge the returning players much less the new ones based on the program as it was, particularly the last two years.

Accountability makes a significant difference.

This alone is worth 4-6 wins more than last year. Will be much more exciting to watch too. Blakeny should have come back.

Don't tell Wade that we won't be good, he gets testy when ppl mention a possible NIT bid, he believes we can make the dance this coming season. An if Will Wade himself believes it I believe it.

You do realize Johnny Jones significantly improved the program and had a couple of talented teams due to his recruiting. They did make the NCAA tournament and the NIT, finished in the top half of the SEC with a tuba player at center and were in the top half of the league his first four years. Yes it was time for a change but give Jones credit for what was accomplished.

Wade looks like a home run hire and time will tell if he truly is. The SEC landscape is littered with numerous young coaches who came in with the same fanfare and hubris only to be replaced 4 to 5 years later.

Didn't JJ get fired? Yes he did. Then why is it you fools can't stop talking about him. Let it go.

People are simply comparing...can you not discern that?

You do realize this is pretty normal... our roster is normally "stacked with guys at least 6'4" " ....As bad as Jones and Johnson were, they were not filling the team with a bunch of Spud Webbs...except for the walk-on spots, there may have been 1 or 2 sub 6'4" guys.

I agree, but that's asking a lot. I think it's fair to expect an NIT/bubble type team. This team will be talented, it's all about how long it takes from them to get it together.

I also think it will be hard to make the tourney b/c of our shitty scheduling. Schedule hasn't come out yet, but if it's anything like the last few years, it won't do us in favors. It's better to play teams that are really good and lose, than play shitty teams and win. Beating Sam Houston St does absolutely nothing for you. Losing to Kansas would increase your RPI more than the win vs Sam Houston. All you have to do is look at Vandy and South Carolina 2 years ago. Both finished 11-7 in the SEC, USC was 24-8, Vandy was 19-13, and Vandy made the tourney. Vandy played Kansas/Dayton/Purdue/Texas/Baylor, all ranked, and lost all of them. USC played Clemson, who wasn't good, and a bunch of crappy teams, and won them all.

We are playing in a loaded tournament in the Bahamas plus Memphis and did you watch any basketball this season? The sec was one of the best conferences in the country

good. I havent' seen a schedule yet. I was simply pointing out that playing shitty teams is pointless. You're better off going 5-5 playing 7 or 8 top 100 rpi teams with 3 or 4 of those being top 30 rpi teams, than going 10-0 against below 150 rpi teams.

and no I did not watch much basketball last season b/c it was embarrassing.
