That’s the excuse that was used when we played Arkansas last year. Night game. Classic SEC rival. Probably 83° in the stadium, normal humidity. Close game in the 4th quarter and the stadium is like 75% full. What was our excuse then?

I was at that game and wondered the same thing. That was a great football game by both teams and it went down to the wire. The second half felt great weather wise. It wasn't even humid. Nice breeze.

Why do people care about this?

Legit question. Seems like some would trade the win yesterday for a loss if the stadium stayed full until the end.

I think they prefer subjective polls saying Tiger Stadium is toughest place to play vs nattys.

It’s irrelevant to anything.

It looks ridiculous on national television when the stadium is half empty at halftime in a tie game. Ooooo, Death Valley. Ooooooo, so difficult to play there. Outside of a handful of games, it hasn’t been that way in years.

Why does this perception matter?

I'm hoarse from yelling at my 2 kids at the 6u game yesterday. Did I take it a bit too seriously? Imo, no. I want to see my kids experience victory from their hard work. I wasn't obnoxious, but I made my voice reach. Live a little.

If you live within driving distance to BR and don't go to the games, you have no reason to criticize people who leave early. Get your @ss to the game and stay!!!

The September weather is why I am glad we play neutral site games first weekend. I know most people disagree but i would not be opposed opening in the Superdome every year .Also Tiger stadium is too big except for one to two games a year the actual attendance is less than capacity . This isn’t unique to LSU it is just that our stadium is now 100k when is should be 85-90 at most . Unless we have a national title contender than that’s how it will be Even Bama under Saban had empty seats for most of the early non conference games

the stadium is probably 15k too large,

THIS. Everyone who yearns for the good old days seem to forget there were ~20K less seats, very few suites and no club levels prior to 2000.
