I read somewhere that over 50% of the employees at the SEC Offices in Birmingham are Alabama Alumns including most of the personnel who hire officials and referees.

Does anyone know if this is accurate?

Has there been an LSU-Bama football game recently where Bama was not called for more penalties and had more yards penalized? And we don't even complain being good sports enough to throw you a competitive bone so hopefully you'll take your azz beatings like men and retire back to the swamps. Just so you know Bama was ranked absolutely last in America in penalties called on rival teams 2 of the last three years. As well as last in holding penalties called on opponents. Which is fine since we like doing it the hard way. One thing is for sure you will never see a billboard begging for help and or mercy placed by Bama fans anywhere in La. You are pitiful. And represent Louisiana males poorly.

SEC already has a rule that officials cannot work games involving their alma mater.

While this is true, the ref in the Bama/State game that called that block in the back that never happened that negated the State TD wasn’t a Bama grad himself but his father was a Bama QB and his other job just happened to be for the bank that is owned by the Bryant family. Thais kind of stuff shouldn’t happen either.

I don’t believe the conspiracy that Bama pays refs. What I do believe is that they try to make sure to hire people in these positions who might unwittingly be a bit biased towards Bama. For instance, I don’t think the aforementioned ref went out on the field with the intention of calling plays favorably to Bama. I think it’s more of a subtle internal bias that the ref isn’t fully aware that he is doing. But Bama knows that this behavior is human nature and that is the reason they (the people in charge at the SEC office) hires these particular individuals.

Think of it as “jury selection”.

The NFL ?? That's laughable. The NFL put "the fix" in against the Saints. Vegas and the nfl front office decided who would be the super bowl teams.

By that rationale, wherever the office is moved to will always have a bias for the closest geographical school. They’d have to move to New York or Los Angeles, then to avoid bias.

Jeezum.

A few notes:

1) Ritter was the head ref for that game, not the replay official.
Several posters have put pics up of a Bama DL spearing Jordan Jefferson in that game with no call. The ref staring at it and not calling it (among many other crooked calls that game) was Ritter.

2) RITTER IS NOT A BAMA ALUM

3) The NFL is full of shite

4) The NFL, like the SEC, is entertainment. They can legally do whatever they want with their product and all you can do is complain.

5) The SEC will NEVER fix a Bama alum being in charge of officiating.

6) There is a reason that, in every sport, there are one group of people who don't have to answer to anything. Those are refs. Reason? Quack Quack MFers...
