I want to believe. I really truly genuinely do want to believe him. I acknowledge that he was right about the BK stuff before it was public, and he may well have a connection or two, but this particular post just seemed a little too vague and worded in a way that sort of gave vibes of someone taking their notoriety and pushing it a bit.

I don't know man, I sincerely look forward to Philly's updates but this particular one sort of deflated my balloon a little bit. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Unfortunately I have to call BS on this. I reached out to my guy last night bc usually where there’s smoke there’s fire. He confirmed Kelly getting fired when I saw Philly’s post last Sunday. He doesn’t know anything about us negotiating with Saban. He’s either lying to me (which is possible) or this is BS.

And this is coming from a guy that thinks that there is no way Saban is actually interested in coming back. I think we made an offer, Sexton is using that to get his people pay days, and there’s not actual mutual interest from Saban.

I said this last night — why use Nick Saban as the smoke? I get using smoke from another coach to eventually lead to Saban, but having the greatest coach of all time as the smokescreen just doesn’t make any sense.
