PS - don’t forget that the 2 best players on this team aren’t playing right now. In a game that went to OT and was decided by a point. They certainly would have moved the needle to make this a win.

Not sure this is a reality.

He took over a roster that had plenty of talent and landed the No. 1 portal class in the country and spent more than $40M in NIL!

He took over a roster with many holes and not a single QB. Had to grab somewhat of a project and guy who was going to need time coming off injury.
And if anything thankfully he got that guy, because the other top options either re-signed with their teams or were going elsewhere.

I do believe in this era of college football you don't get time to rebuild, but I still think you have to see how well this team can come together. No room for error now.

This loss absolutely infuriated me. Still upset they left it up to the defense given how the game had gone.

This loss pisses me off more than any other over the past 10 years, but I'm not going to say it's a complete failure at this point.

Understand what you are saying but we had opportunities to win both games. Mistakes, bad calls by refs and poor coach decisions. However, this is the SEC and any team you face can beat you any given Saturday.. Besides Georgia, betting every SEC team selected to the playoffs will have 2 Conference losses.

Kentucky and Ole Miss will both likely lose at least 1 or 2 more games at minimum.

LSU is likely to lose the same number.

Morons like you wanted CLM fired his first season after the Monday night loss to UThug.

Thankfully the people who get paid to know more than you actually did & still do know more.

LSU should have mopped the floor with OM and Kentucky just based on talent alone! Instead, two brand new HCs took him to the woodshed.

We lost both of those games by a combined 9 points. You are an idiot.

I think many here have an inflated sense of our talent level. We can compete with almost anyone's top 22. Depth of talent is where everyone equals out. Very few have real, legitimate depth across the board. Hence the parity you see all across the country. Everyone has OL issues(depth and continuity),DL issues(depth and continuity) and secondary issues. Across the country. Couple that with constant coaching movement and getting teams to gel early is an issue. The best teams in the country won't truly be known until the end of the season. We'll be at our best in the 2 biggest games, Bama and Texas. Hopefully we can win until then. Even our best might not be good enough against those 2 squads if at their best.

Its also ok to admit it if you just dont like Kiffin. He's not for everyone. As always, a large enough portion is dead set on being negative because they dont like the coach. Nothing he can do will suffice. I have only ever felt that way about Brian Kelly. After 2 years it was clear he had called it in and letting Frank Wilson control the program.

I do agree with the harsh grade. Results are all that matter in the age of paying players and the sport as a whole admitting to being nothing more than a revenue stream. Ask any NFL coach.

The fact that this has 63 upvotes (62 if not including the OP) is troubling.

We’ve lost by a total of 9 points in SEC road games. Nothing that he said since he was hired made me think we were going to walk into the playoffs this year. He put that roster together extremely fast-without key staff members- because there wasn’t another choice. He hasn’t even been through a complete recruiting cycle yet.

No worries. But the choices are on him.

He chose an injured qb that couldnt workout until a cerain time. It shows

The choices made can be questioned without be bashed.

Lane can coach at a high level. The rest of his childish behavior is a real issue in his persosnal and professional life. Feel free to prove me wrong
