I believe that the program is moving in the right direction and and a national championship is coming be it this year or next. As long as O is bringing in top 5 recruiting classes the team will be trending up.

Now I don't understand why my position concerning this team is considered extreme.
Of course you don't.

I believe that the team will be in a better position to compete for a national championship next season. I had hoped that they would this past season but I thought that it was probably a year too soon. If they fall short of a national championship but win a respectable 10 games I'm not sure what holding them accountable means moving forward. I believe that the program is moving in the right direction and and a national championship is coming be it this year or next. As long as O is bringing in top 5 recruiting classes the team will be trending up. Eventually the depth will be there to win a NC
The problem is the team we need to topple is bringing in #1 classes. And A&M has the #2 class right now. I see no way either of those teams falls off anytime soon. Competition in the SEC is extremely stiff.
What is it that you see with the football coach and his staff that gives us a competitive advantage vs those teams? It has to be more of just a gut feeling.
And you said that you thought we'd be competing for national championships this past season. What did you see prior to the season and what part of the program failed to meet your expectations?

I don’t. But I was reading a 21page long thread where people were saying he can’t recruit

So much stupid in this thread lol

Do you honestly think that there's that much difference between number one and number 5? If you're recruiting in the top ten you're doing your job.
aTm is currently sitting at number two with 24 commitments. They don't have much room to move up. LSU has 19 so it isn't inconceivable that LSU passes up aTm. I'm not saying that it will happen but it's not outside the realm of possibility.
Do you think that any coaching staff has a competitive edge over Saban? If that answer is no then why would you think it's ok to ask anyone the question you just asked?

Now you're misrepresenting what I said. I said that I had hoped that they would compete but that it might be a year early. That being said I had high hopes for the offensive line. In hindsight I was hugely wrong. The warning signs were there I just chose to ignore them. Several radio personalities had mentioned that the offense was a work in progress and not to expect too much. I glossed over that in my homerism. I don't know if they'll be ready next season or not but they'll be better than they were this past season.

You think we’ll really make that jump on offense?
We were pretty horrendous this year.
Realistically I think Every season comes down to beating a handful of teams, and we have not been able to do that, and I dont Think we’re just a year of growth away from doing that.
I feel Like we need major changes on offense to compete. Either just a huge change in quality or a fundamental change in approaches

Didn't read the thread title?
It is talking about the #1 or #2 RB in the nation. That won't help LSU offensively will it?

That's it then. If it happened this year it will undoubtedly happen every year from now on. Thanks for pointing that out.

Damn, I was wondering what you thought as was everyone else on the board and elsewhere. This should be national news. Watch on CNN and Fox tonight.

Miles was a great recruiter too, we fired him for ineptitude and stubbornness on offense.

People were just starting to have a normal, thoughtful conversation and here comes Ree to wreck the day. Good job, buddy.

You're the one that seems to be projecting a NC in the next couple of years. How do you think we get there if we can't challenge Alabama? We've failed to score a single point in two home games in the past three seasons. What changes next year in that regard?

So that being said, would it be fair to say that you're prone to overestimating the strengths of this team relative to our competition?
Will there come a point where you will be forced to abandon what your gut tells you about the football coach here and his staff's ability to compete at an elite level?

A running back likes our offense?
Damn. Give everyone extensions we’ve clearly solved our historical runningback problems

Like Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid." That was never more true than the madden jockeys that stay here like dog shite in the yard.

Calm down, Ben.
No need to be a prick, Ben
It’s an honest question.
Do you really think a true freshmen RB, as good as he is, is going to make our OL that much better or our passing game all that much better?
Like do I think Emery will play better than brosette? Yes but he’s 1 piece. Do you think we see huge changes on the o line?
It’s called conversation, Ben.
Oh you’re not Ben.
Eat shite

Les Miles had LSU ranked #1 in 2015. Are you saying that LSU fired a coach after an elite season?

He can't recruit? I think you're exaggerating to try to prove a point.
Would it be fair to say that an elite recruiting staff in the SEC should do better than 16th in their second recruiting class?

We were ranked in the playoff rankings in Miles's last full season and that earned him a good swift kick in the arse.
