I agree. Fulton placed his hand briefly on the receiver's shoulder, which is permitted. However, in no way did he interfere with the receiver and then he made a spectacular play on the ball for the interception.

It's a pity that the play was robbed from him. Hell, it might have even bumped him up a couple of spots in the upcoming NFL draft.

In fact, those PAC 12 officials were being overly critical on pass interference calls last night, in my opinion.

It looked like a late flag live, but another view showed it tossed from like 30 yards away, which is why it took so long. Now take a guy 30 yards away making a call that close how you may.

Bullishit. He grabbed Vincent by the shoulder pad and threw him to the ground. Fulton only grabbed the jersey as he was falling as a result of the OPI.

That was a good call.

While I agree that it was an extremely bad call, we ended up forcing a punt and scored on our ensuring drive.

If anything, I'd argue that the bad OPI call impacted Clemson much more. I certainly don't think it impacted the outcome of the game, but if you just count those two "bad calls", we came out a lot better than they did.

Overall I think the officials did a mediocre job getting calls right, but I think they did a good job in that it didn't feel like they impacted the game in a meaningful way. Had the game been closer, then maybe those calls feel like a bigger deal, but given how LSU dominated the game, the calls just didn't feel like too big of an issue.

Bad call. Receiver gave up on the ball but Fulton didn’t

we got the makeup call on the OPI for their TD, so all's well that ends well
Pac12 refs were in over their head. Like HS refs calling a college game.

I saw #5 push off and Vincent grabbed jersey in attempt to avoid being flung to turf. Correct call and not a makeup.

The frustration was more with the inconsistency. We got flagged for tricky tack stuff like that, but Clemson got away with mugging our WRs all night.

But that just proves how much better we were, being able to play through that and still coming out on top by 17.

Did get LSU with the linemen down field which was the right calls.

I agree, but have a question. Isn't there an exception to the rule if the olineman is blocking the defensive player and they end up downfield before the ball is thrown. Essentially, it wouldn't be a flag if the offensive player remains engaged with the defensive player?

Wasn't a factor on this play because our lineman continued another 2-3 yards after the defensive player backed off, but curious about the rule.

Gotta show the whole play. Receiver was controlling Vincent the entire way down the field. That gif is timed to only show the last .5 seconds of the play, after he had already pushed Vincent.

It’s true they punted anyway. And the call didn’t affect the outcome of the game but it negated an interception and was just a horrible call.

It looks like Vincent sees the ball coming and realizes it's a TD so he flopped to draw the flag. Higgins was definitely tugging on the jersey but not that hard. Huge heads up play by Vincent
I said the same thing when it happened...nice flop! It was brilliant.
