Ole Miss will slip back into mediocrity. As is their typical place. Kiffin was the thing elevating them recently

Nah this one sticks assuming ole miss keeps winning..there's just enough history.. border state.. recruiting battles.. not to mention we stole their Best coach of all time during the first season in their history they actually had a contender..

I still don’t understand this narrative. He left Tennessee for USC, sure. But there is not a single other time where he hasn’t done what was an objective move up in his career that everyone else would take. OC to NFL head coach, Fired as NFL head coach, and becomes a college head coach. Tenn to USC*, then after getting fired at USC he becomes Bama’s OC.

Then OC to head coach, FAU to Ole Miss, Ole Miss to LSU.

Other than one move (which arguably was the right choice anyway) where do you think he just got bored and left?

He may leave us for the NFL one day, but he isn’t leaving us for anything else.

Remember the big rivalry between Mississippi State and Florida after Dan Mullen left?

That.

I go back to the Archie Manning and Bert Jones days when the Billy Cannon days were still fresh in everyone’s memory. Our two big rivals were Ole Miss and Tulane.
I don’t know who to pull for or against this weekend.

The generational hate from the Hotty Toddies just got extended for at least 1-2 more generations.

It's a regional "rivalry" that nobody cares about outside of LA and MS. The game has not meant any relevance, except for a handful of times in 60 years. When was the last time anyone can remember seeing an Ole Miss fan wearing a shirt or hat in Chicago or NY? Lsu is the same . Alabama, ND, Michigan, Ohio St fans are everywhere. This is the way

Not if they beat us a couple times early. LSU/Bama blew up after Saban went there.

It would be even better if the fricking SEC Office would schedule it on the Saturday before Halloween. This season, it's ON Samhain Saturday and these dense mf'ers have us playing on the 3rd week in September, which is absolutely asinine.
