You stuck up for a dude who intentionally tried to defraud the governing body of college athletics and try to make him a victim to get him on the field, but shite all over a truly innocent justification to get a waiver because it doesn't benefit your team.

You are a piece of human garbage. The ignorant, childish fans in this board are coming out in droves.

Its the NCAAs inconsistent enforcement of them that most people have a problem with.

How have they been inconsistent?

Sort of like the LB who got homesick from Wash to NV and suddenly wound up at Bama. Just when you think you know how they’re going to enforce the rules, they throw a curve ball.

I don't think the NCAA had anything to do with that situation. The kid had not enrolled at Washington, and Washington gave him a waiver.

I think it would be humane to allow him to be close to her and not be out practicing football which takes about 7 months from his time to be with her. That way he still gets to have an extra year of eligibility.

Honest question....because I somewhat agree with you. All the other team boards you have to request permission to post on. Why is the LSU board open to everyone?

Is UGA the closest school to his moms location? Georgia tech? I think some people are just mad about the rich getting richer. What's the most academic school in the UGA area?

People leave jobs etc all the time to be closer to dying family. There's a difference between working with them and making sure they get playing time for last years national championship runner up.

I would think Georgia and Gt are about the same. I mean, Georgia Southern is closer, but if I were him, I wouldn't go there.

the NCAA had no connection to the BCS, so had zero to do with the BCS rankings and the rematch on 1/9/12.

Question. Fulton was caught pouring clean urine into a container in which he was supposed to put his own urine in, and some of you are upset he has to serve the suspension that is clearly outlined in the rules.

For the hundredth time. The punishment is NOT clearly outlined clearly in the rules. That's the only issue here. He served 1 year of the suspension and that should be enough for "violation of protocol".

You can say that all you want. But, it doesn't make it true.

quote:

3.4. Tampering. A student-athlete who is involved in a case of clearly observed tampering with an NCAA drug-test sample, as documented per NCAA drug-testing protocol by a drug-testing crew member, shall be charged with the loss of a minimum of two seasons of competition in all sports and shall remain ineligible for all regular-season and postseason competition during the time period ending two calendar years (730 days) from the date of the tampering.

Can you explain to me why it's considered tampering and not violation of protocol? At which point is it "an NCAA sample"? Have you ever done a piss test? I argue that until they put the tamper evident custody seal on the jar then it's not an NCAA sample and it's not tampering.

Yes, it was. Here is it spelled out and quoted in the Times-Picayune:
The NCAA rulebook states, “A student-athlete who is involved in a case of clearly observed tampering with an NCAA drug-test sample, as documented per NCAA drug-testing protocol by a drug-testing crew member, shall be charged with the loss of a minimum of two seasons of competition in all sports and shall remain ineligible for all regular-season and postseason competition during the time period ending two calendar years (730 days) from the date of the tampering.

I can. he brought a clean sample of urine to the test and oured that sample into the vial that was provided for his urine sample.
