bro. the point is. if he wants to be closer to her while she is dying he can be without a waiver. why does football playing time have anything to do with it? If it was so important.. he'd actually want to sit out, regardless

bro.

The sit-out rule exists to prevent free-agency in college football. For a million reasons you already know. Waivers are granted in extenuating circumstances.

Sitting out a year is punishment for transferring.

Why should this kid be punished for transferring to be closer to his dying mother?

If you really don't see that, you really do have a serial killer mentality.

frick you.

Between Gurley, AJ and countless others we’ve taken the wrath of the NCAA more than most. What comes around goes around. We deserve a break.

He also was granted a medical redshirt last year. I don’t think he would be able to play this year without it.

Is "cheating" a "breach of protocol" or "tampering" because apparently that's the difference between 1 and 2 years.

There is a clear difference in these two cases and you are trying to compare as if they are similar. Any kid in any sport should be able to transfer to be closer to family member like that without punishment. He isn’t just moving because he wants to for the hell of it.

The pettiness displayed here has been gross and this post is insensitive and disgusting. The kid’s mom has cancer and all you see is a waiver.

There's no reason why he shouldn't sit out a year.

That’s the kind of stuff that happens when you have a president, ad, and coach that are unified and have one goal.

LSU used to have stuff like that happen.

I get the intent of the rule, but there should be some caveats. Athens is 4 hours away from his home. Kid might as well have thrown USC, UF and FSU, hell anything east of the Mississippi is closer than Cal. If he wants to be closer to his mom, absolutely, a waiver should be contingent on going to the closest FBS school. Georgia Southern in Statesville is only an hour away. Why not go there to be even closer?

What did you do google closest college to Savannah with a football team? It’s StatesBORO, they run the triple option and their once great football program is a dumpster fire right now.

Question. Fulton was caught pouring clean urine into a container in which he was supposed to put his own urine in, and some of you are upset he has to serve the suspension that is clearly outlined in the rules.

Robertson is following every rule in the book, and you are upset because the NCAA is allowing him to follow the rules?

I have to say kudos to the many LSU fans that are using logic and seeing the situation as it is. I also understand that the LSU fans that are complaining are mainly complaining because of their disappointment in their own player not being allowed back, and really has nothing to do with Robertson's situation at all.

It is what it is.

He considered many of those schools, from what I understand.

It’s not a comparison of the rules, clown. Its the NCAAs inconsistent enforcement of them that most people have a problem with. Sort of like the LB who got homesick from Wash to NV and suddenly wound up at Bama. Just when you think you know how they’re going to enforce the rules, they throw a curve ball.
