The national perception of this team will shift drastically after next Saturday

Everyone knows LSU is quietly blowing teams out but it continues to be dismissed as though the opposing teams aren't great so you beating the hell out of them for 60 minutes isn't impressive.
And of course, the ole miss game, which I think almost everyone agrees we're already a different team than we were a few weeks ago. That game would go much different.
But I see the perception around the country (media and fans) shifting and taking notice after we go into Kentucky and continue to do what we've been doing.
I know they're not Bama/Georgia but they're looking good this year and it's been clear this year that going on the road in the SEC is tough. So after we go in there and impose our will on them for 4 quarters, I think we'll see the country take notice and realize they can no longer ignore the fact that we're a freight train, gaining speed every week.

Home field advantage has been big this year in SEC and luckily our two toughest games on paper are at home. Just win that is all that matters

If LSU wins convincingly it will turn heads due to the fact Bama had a tight game with Kentucky till the fourth when they pulled away

The pundits are definitely slow playing LSU but fortunately it doesn’t matter much. They have the opportunity to prove themselves on the field. I actually like the ranking in that it gives the team a little extra motivation to be under-appreciated.

Win the next 3. Get to 7-1. Which I think is very plausible. LSU is better than Kentucky, Moo St. and Auburn, plus we get Moo St at home.
Split Bama, Texas @ home. Bama looks like the real deal, and Texas is #1 in the country, although I’m not sure they are truly the best team. Both games at home I think is very possible LSU wins at least 1 of those games.
2-0 to end the season vs Tennessee and Arky. I realize the Tennessee game will be no cake walk, I just trust this LSU team and Lane, especially if LSU is a good chunk healthier by then.
10-2, with our schedule is a lock for the playoffs, and possibly even in that 7-8 range. It would be a fantastic first year no matter what happens in the playoffs. I think 90% of LSU fans would have taken 10-2 with a playoff berth Year 1.
Let’s win these next 3 games, get to 7-1 and set up huge games vs Bama and Texas.

Depends if they figure their offense out. TN offense right now is beyond bad and if their QB situation stays that way, it won't be a close game.

Probably not.
They will just say “well, it was just Kentucky”
Then “well it was just Mississippi State”
Then “well it was just auburn”
The perception won’t change substantially unless we are 7-1 THEN beat Bama

National perspective will not change this year, even if we win it all. But we shouldn't care.

If we win I honestly don’t think it changes much.
If we lose though, we will get slaughtered.
Good thing it doesn’t matter what they think.

If thumping A&M caused us to drop a spot in the polls, I can’t imagine beating Kentucky is going to propel us upward.

I don't see this as a blowout.
I just hope we win.

No shot.
You have to survive MSU after that then probably beat Alabama to get that respect.
Of course that won’t matter cause you still have Texas coming.

Lane is gonna have the boys ready to maul Kentucky.

I swear some of y’all live in an alternate reality. LSU is about to be a top 19 team and most have us as playoff contenders.

Except Ole Miss, of course.

I believe we’re about to win these next 3 games comfortably, get our 7’s back in November, and have one of the most fun back to back week home atmospheres in our history.

Kentucky has a good football team; this will be a test on the road.

Beating Kentucky won’t impress anyone.
