Take the top 32 or so and create a super league.
Honest question: why wouldn't it just be the 60 from the P5 conferences?

Not sure how accurate this is. Texas seems way too far down the list. I don't think they factored in games that are re-aired like LSU/Clemson NCG the other night. I would think if you count re-air metrics, this list could shift a bit.

This is not credible. There is no way Tulane has 42k viewers

NFL saving a ton of money not having to fund development leagues/minor leagues. College boosters, etc, footing the bill and providing everything to choose from.

Rest on laurels thinking takes you to dangerous places.

Why does LSU have #5 viewership?

Now, think about future roster caliber with NIL relative to others on that list.

What risk to future lists are there?

Mitigate that path, yes!

Look back at what was, no!

There’s no turning back now, it’s ruined, so just enjoy the last couple seasons of college football because it’s going away soon.

frick that noise. We can appreciate what he did here without acting as if he single handed lay built a program from scratch.

We were ranked in the top 10 under dinardo until it fell apart for him. It’s not like we never had a winning season before saban.

It's disgusting to think the Tigers were BLOWN OUT on the field by the #53 and #63 teams on the list. Totally unacceptable

It's not going anywhere. It may look different from what you're familiar with, but as long as there are state universities with 150+ years of a college football tradition, the games will go on. You won't see 100,000+ capacity stadii converted to soccer pitches anytime soon.

Great read.
This also drives what teams TV commentators talk about while they’re on the air.

Yeah, I wonder how this ends up. Will there be two super leagues (SEC and Big 10?) with 32-36 teams in each? Or will it ultimately boil to down to just one league of 36 and the rest of college football kicks rocks?

Either way, I think that's where we're headed.

This is exactly why LSU will always play Alabama. That game moves the needle regardless of records.

Also, all the anti-expansionist clowns need to realize UT and OU are massive national brands located in the SEC’s backyard. They are a natural fit. Much more so than our previous two teams that were added.

Looking forward to LSU-Texas becoming a big series. It’s happening. Texas views will be #1 when they are a top ten program again.

Are you a UCF fan? The LSUs of the world are absolutely not in danger of dying. CFB has always been the haves and the have nots. The margin is only getting wider. LSU will thrive. I don’t see why you people are so mad about it all. Who gives a shite about low tier programs and if they’ll survive? I say drop the G5 OOC charity games and only play conference games and a few OOC games vs Big10 ACC or maybe Big12 and Pac12.

This just shows you that you don’t have to win anything outside of your conference to be ranked highly.

I have to think if we had this much TV coverage in the 50's 60's and early 70's when the only losses we would have were to either Alabama, ole Miss, maybe an occasional loss to Notre Dame with records of 8-2/ 9-1. People would look at the LSU football program much differently and with 1 loss on the season coming to the likes of Bama. Tell who would be looking forward to playing you in a Bowl game?
