I posted a tally at the beginning of last basketball season, and LSU basketball did better under Brady's 11 years than it did in the 11 years after caving to the idiots and firing him. I was right, and every idiot here who gave me shite for supporting Brady was wrong and a moron. Be it known: I am officially smrtr than anybody who ever wanted Brady fired.

Now the clock is ticking on LSU football. This will be the third full season after Miles. At some point, on-field results will have to justify the firing, or the firing will have been unjustified. I will be right again, and all of you will be wrong--objectively--again.

ETA: LSU's winning percentage with Miles vs. Bama is higher than the percentage of games vs. Bama in which LSU has scored a point since his firing. iT wAs TiMe 4hIm2Go

How could you leave off the stupidity of the offensive play calling vs Aubie 2006 (along with the atrocious officiating)

I flew in from Abu Dhabi for that game in Auburn. 8,100 miles to see Miles run 2 cribbled RB for a 1 yard average in a cloud of dust, when he had J. Russell and a shitload of talented WR. Terrible coaching!!

Sorry, but anybody who ever wanted Miles gone is a bozo for the rest of his life.
Les was 10-10 against the SEC West his last 3+ years, all with elite talent.

His firing was justified.

Nice cherries. And two of those losses came against a program that was caught cheating.

You people rely on cheating to support your arguments against Miles.

you’ve must’ve been stuck in a cryogenic freezer or something. This is 3 years late of arguing going on. And you haven’t made a reasonable point yet

While you can't say that LSU would have won blowout losses to ... UGA in 2008

lost by 14 to UGA.
Lee threw 2 pick sixes that game (to same guy).

i think Perrilloux wind that one.

Getting rid of Perriloux was either to MIles' credit or part of his demise

Both.

Perriloux getting kicked off the team is what set back the LSU qb situation until Burrow/Brennan. We had to throw unprepared qb after unprepared qb in there and hope they didn't buckle under pressure. That broke the typical cycle of experienced qb in the spotlight with younger guys learning and waiting for their shot

There was 12 years between when Perrilloux signed (2005) and when Burrow/Brennan joined (2017/2018).

Having one guy get booted doesn't excuse over a decade of being unable to recruit QBs into a system you wanted to run.

Chris Garrett, the kid who spurned us for Notre Dame with no chest, the tall Stephen Rivers kid who couldn't start at Vandy, Anthony Jennings, Andrew Hatch, Zach Lee, the fat MS QB who was moved to TE at Ole Miss, etc etc.

Literally over 12 signing classes after Perrilloux, the only QB who even remotely was a difference maker was Mettenberger and even he only amounted to 1 productive year given our offensive system.

For as bad as OL recruiting was under Miles, QB was worse. You can't blame Perrilloux for 11 other years of terrible QB recruiting and development.

Also, people rave about what could have been in 2008/2009 with R.Perrilloux and yes he had some amazing red-shirt freshman games (throwing for 300yds in his first start, and the SEC Championship Game MVP against Tennessee). But it isn't like Perrilloux went on to be Baker Mayfield at another college program and then was a starter in the NFL.

Perrilloux wasn't that great at Jacksonville State and he never amounted to more than 3rd string in the NFL.

If I ever need to find this idiotic thread again, I can just search for the word "cubbard."

While your post is technically valid, I would say some of these these items he could have had actually had a say in, the others were pure chance.

I was out of the country on vacation also, so I missed it live myself. Never saw the full replay and pretty sure I don’t want to ever watch it. But you got the point fully... have Jamarcus, Bowe, Buster, and Doucet, but don’t consider using them until late in 4Q (or so I heard).

should have let him take the arkansas job in 2012. that would have been the most ideal alternate history.

But if just a few things had gone differently, an alternate history would have unfolded for The Man in the High Hat.

It's kinda ironic that for a guy that was called "lucky" through most of his time here he really has some unlucky things happen to him.

Yea...............................................except for those two record-breaking years with Mettenberger.

I swear, some of you guys can't possibly be following the same LSU program I do.

that's not exactly what happened. we threw the ball like 38-40 times in that game, and it was split pretty evenly between the halves. Auburn was just good that year (people forget they were also 11-2 in 06 with a top 10ish defense).

we could have (and should have) done better on offense, but they weren't a slouch by any stretch. also, they got a couple favorable calls, (the PI that wasn't vs Early, a Hester catch that wasn't). it was a slugfest.
