The LSU Fan experience survey is in your mailbox....(Piped in music)

The past 30 years as a Season Ticket holder, I have never filled out a survey, till now.
But the tradition, experience and mystic of Tiger Stadium with the fans being the focal point is being destroyed year after year, since 2013ish. Its 110% NOT the coaches, product on the field (Maybe NIL), or players we have.
If you are in the camp, that you "used" to show up knowing that the experience relied ONLY and started with the fan, which carried over to the field. Now it appears, we show up as in a mode of spectator ready to watch a football game and at same time listen to a concert. Yes we get very loud at moments on defense and clap and cheer on a first down or touchdowns. Which most stadiums already do. But the piped in Music has equalized us to other stadiums and has allows other to catch up. An equalizer, down grading us.
Piped In music is a great idea and pumps you up, but its not for Tiger Stadium. Its for the Vandy's, Texas, SMU, etc. They are the places that need it as an equalizer bc they don't have the fans and tradition of rowdy experience like Tiger Stadium
If your in that camp i suggest making the effort to take 5 to 10 min and fill out the survey about that area.
I think most of the Piped in music is in Pregame, so you show up already in mindset that your to sit back to listen/watch and let the music be the show. I think pregame music is the main area if anything that needs to cut back. This is time (pregame) where you would get stadium chants of "Geaux" "Tigers" or L-S-U" or other things where the FANS CONTROLLED THE ATOMOSHER (not the DJ) etc. The fans would step up and take over pregame and brought a presence that your in Death Valley and this is where your dreams come to die. You used to see it in the visiting teams faces of "Oh shite" we are in trouble I'm sure some of you remember, its used to be so "electric" in the air about an hour before kick off that you could cut it with a knife. Adding the music has taken away from that anxious energy and electricty in the air.
The frustration from all the add in's motivated me to fill the survey this year and suggest so should you, if you fell the same.
It’s Just Different…. Let’s get back to making it different

BATHROOMS AND CONCESSIONS IN THE SOUTH ENDZONE

Rest of the world has moved to self pay. Our concessions are 20 yrs behind with workers who don’t want to be there.

Awesome read. Awesome opinion. We are just different. Don't drown out what makes us different, the people.

Another year another survey that will be ignored.

I agree. I have expressed the same in my surveys for 3 years now. This was my final season as a season ticket holder for 22 years. It’s not the same and the piped in music is the reason.
I’ll cheer for the Tigers from my couch.

It’s been said more than once the reason they intentionally drowned out the crowd is because of this dumb arse STTDB chant
and I’m all for it
and I’m all for it

“It’s been said more than once the reason they intentionally drowned out the crowd is because of this dumb arse STTDB chant

- all the piped in music for the entire one hour before kickoff has nothing to do with STTDB…..

I had season tickets for 20 years when I lived in Baton Rouge. Past 15 years I have lived elsewhere and typically go to an away game every year. Hardly ever go to home games. I took my younger kids to their first home game last season. I will probably not go out of my way to go back. The music was so bad and constant that it was miserable. Might be a situation of old man screaming at sky but I couldn’t even enjoy the game because of it.

What does your comment even mean? So it's going on 2026...is that suppose to prove that piped in music is good? The crap is just some executive decision made by a committee and has more to do with the fact that they felt it "added value" to the experience without talking to anyone who makes up the fanbase they are serving. These managerial decisions are more about the manager being in charge of some change agenda, from music selection deals, to the speakers and gear etc.
We have a band for a reason. Why not push what they are playing through the sound system and leave the DJ to the afterparty

Okay, the chant is the chant. Drunk college kids will be drunk college kids.
But to take away the atmosphere and spirit? It will only hurt us.

I support the band and have no hatred towards them. 100% Golden Band from Tigerland. HOWEVER, when I was a kid in the 80’s I brought a headset radio with me. I’d tune in the game, but really I had it turned to a radio station listening to rock music. Why? I’ve always despised band music for some weird reason. No offense, I appreciate their hard work and effort and cheer when they play the good stuff. I wished then why we didn’t get one of those loud arse speakers from “Back to the Future” and hoist it on a crane over the student section and just play “Shook Me…” ? So, I’m in the blare GNR, AC/DC, Boosie, and the rest of the gang when we are at the ridiculous tv timeouts. I think I’ve finally realized my childhood dream. The band can’t play all the time. Back in the Olden days, games were like 8:00 pm and done by 10:00. Now a 6:30 kick ends at 10:00. That’s an hour and a half of just sitting there. Ain’t nobody gonna be able to cheer that long, and the band isn’t loud at all anymore. You can’t hear them. Like at all.
Also that music isn’t in a pipe. A wire maybe but I doubt there’s a pipe unless that wire is run in conduit. So stop using that phrase. It makes you sound 80.
Downvote away I don’t give a shite. I’m a TAF member and Season Ticket holder too. #setitoff

No piped in music sucks...bit youre an idiot if you think its going away. Players now want it so its not going anywhere. Focus on shite that can change...concessions for 1

Let them be content with their headphones and millions in NIL. I don't know a fan who like it in football and baseball use to be someone playing a pipe organ but now literally every second where they are not actively throwing a ball they got pipped in music. It's a fad that needs to go.
I sadly agree you'll probably change concessions faster than ending it.

Well, what did you expect? They just repurposed the old South Stadium lavatories that used to be in the dormroom hallways back in the '50s.
