LSU may be a little less talented than bama. But there is not a 29 point difference in talent. (There is a 29 point difference in scheme tho.)

Let's look at some numbers.
LSU's d-line. recruiting numbers
lawrence 0.9847
alexander 0.9665
neil ferrell 0.8847
logan 0.938
fehoko 0.9753

0.94984

LSU's d-line, without chaisson factored in because he's out, averages a .949 ranking on 24/7. That's with ferrel factored in who is the lowest at .88. Bama offered all these guys except alexander for some reason. So according to ED, these guys are good enough to play for bama but not talented to compete with them.

If you look at bama's d-line.

Williams 0.9321 4
davis 0.9587 4
buggs 0.9551 4
ray 0.9867 5

0.95815

They average only a little higher.

LSU's d held up as best they could for most of the game. The offense sucked.

LSU's o-line

Deculus 0.9772
Ingram 0.9217
charles 0.9038
stewart 0.8539
brumfield 0.9526
cushenberry 0.8238

0.9055
Cushenberrty brings down the average but a lot of people are saying he's playing well.

Bama offered deculus and ingram.

The point is Ed is an idiot. He's saying he needs better players, but he's got guys bama wanted. The fact that this offense couldn't move the ball is on Steve Ensminger and the lack of development and coaching at LSU.

Scheme is what held these guys back. End of story.

I agree The scheme held us back, but Stewart and Ingram aren’t on the team.

So you're saying that the offensive line actually played a good game Saturday. Gotcha.

To be fair, some of the players that you used in your analysis are no longer on the team. Also, a couple are quite young.

I think at least part of our problem is mental now. Burrow said he wasn't afraid of that game, but it sure looked like his linemen were terrified.

why are you comparing 4 dl to 5 for lsu? you do realize that the starting talent might be close but they have much more depth right?

So you’re saying ole miss, Arkansas, Missouri, ULL, etc all have more talented offensive lines than Lsu. Gotcha.

Who ever the right tackle is got beat like a red headed step child every play! So if your saying the offensive line was good enough to play with Bama you don't know shite! We got man handled by their defense. We couldn't run block or pass block. We were overrated by a lot on offense line play

Please dont bring FACTS into this discussion. I said this the other day. Most of our roster held offers from Bama as well. We all recruit the same caliber of players. It all comes down to poor coaching & poor development.

It’s pretty simple. If you conclude that it’s the LSU OL play that shite the game away, and know those teams all put up better offensive numbers than LSU against Bama, then you have to conclude that their offensive lines are better than LSU’s.

This right here. For the most part the Oline guy didn't even slow the defensive player down as he brushed past him on the way to Burrow.
