What really hilarious is there are people talking all of this s**t about what Kelley was supposedly doing that showed he was f**king off and not committed to the program but will defend Orgeron for doing the exact same thing. I will say if kelly was doing all of this then it would explain the record much like Orgereons actions explained his record the last 2 years of his term. And i would want both gone for it.

I have no idea what people are trying to accomplish with the vitriol - Hey HC candidate, come to LSU and if it doesn’t work out, here comes the internet character assassination.

people love to pile on. they think its cool to defame someone from behind a keyboard. They are sad little people
The man deserved to be fired. It's ok to be glad he's gone but stalking him while he's trying to eat a meal is pathetic as is digging up stories from 15 years ago

If I walk away from my job with a $25-30 million dollar golden parachute they could say that I blew a goat on the practice field and I wouldn’t give two shits. Because society would never see or hear from me again.

Orgeron for all his faults at least won a title before he fricked off and I don't know anyone who defended his actions post 2019. Kelly just flat out sucked here from the beginning and refused to do what needed to be done to fix it

Well I have 3 friends that do nothing but defend his actions after 2019 and there have been some on TD too. I don't care what he did in 2019 that does not give you the right to destroy the football program at LSU. And Kelly did a great job in 2022 so it's not like he got here and sucked right away. Both fricked it up. Just be consistent is all I'm saying.

brian kelly is an unlikable a-hole.

He wasn't a bad coach and was fluent in English. He did lose the team after Jaden and Malik left. I will remember his time fondly. He was also undefeated in bowl games. Not a big deal, but it's something.

It's hard to completely reconcile these two points.
I thought they needed to get rid of O, of course, but he still accomplished something Kelly didn't come close to doing.

Realization is setting in that LSU is still going to be mediocre for several more years.

You know everyone on the Trant knows insiders, boosters, donors, etc and therefore know everything (wink wink) when in reality the closest they’ve come to being an insider is sitting in the 600 level of Tiger Stadium on Saturday night.

I agree, but it's part for the course with these things. People have to rationalize it however they can. Look, that's a small part of the reason that coaches get paid so much. They have to deal with constant scrutiny and internet rumors. Just like with anything else, I give it three days and let the emotions die down a little bit. Any rumors that came out after he was fired, im just gonna discard. If it were such an issue, why haven't we heard about it before? I had heard about an affair, and that he maybe wasn't around the facility as much as one would hope, and the whole Greg Brooks situation, which I still don't fully believe. Nothing in there paints BK out to be some kind of monster, he's just a person like any of us. Are there some guys that probably have real issues with him? Sure. Are they just using his firing now because they have an axe to grind? Probably. In the end, I wish it would have worked out here, because that would have meant national championships, but I hope he has success wherever he goes. Playing Devil's advocate, I'd suggest Wisconsin for him, he seems like the coach to bring them back to what they used to be, even though he'll never win a title there.

That he was some raging drunk that hardly attended practice. So let me get this straight, not a single fricking person in the 4 years he was here even mentioned even a SLIVER of something like this once, EVER. Not former players, coaches, anything. And then it all comes out after he gets fired? Yeah, very believable guys.
I have actually heard this rumored for multiple years. Now, it comes from a gossiping individual but they are very well connected.
